Movie 150 / Drive Belt Info
« on: July 22, 2021, 11:04:24 PM »
Hi Guys,

I spent an entire day searching for a drive belt on Monday. It was almost impossible to find. To save you the trouble I'm here to reveal my findings. A Bando 781 / 20 / 30 will work. $50 on Amazon. Apparently an 800 Malossi will work too.

General Discussion / Movie 150 Drive belt
« on: July 19, 2021, 02:02:54 AM »
Hi. I need a drive belt for a Movie 150. I'm sure the belt from other scooters would work, but I can't figure out the nomenclature. Does anyone know which belt would work on my scooter?

Thanks,

Movie 150 / Movie 150 Vlave Adjustment
« on: November 25, 2017, 10:23:56 AM »
Hi Folks,

I just did my first valve adjustment to the 4-vlave head on the Movie 150. I'm happy to report that it is almost as simple as doing a valve adjustment on a two-valve head, except for the extra valves. All the usual stuff has to come off, plus the floorboards. There is a cross member in front of the valve cover that you should also remove. It's not mentioned in the instructions, but it makes the job a heck of a lot easier.

You find tdc just like on the two valve head. Turn the engine until the big hole in the cam sprocket is visible, then line up the little holes with the edge of the engine. The spec is 0.12 mm for intake and exhaust. I found that each of my valves had tightened up. I waited to check them until 4000 miles, which I now think is too long. I'm going to check them at 2500 miles next time. I'm also going to buy a 3 mm open face wrench (hard to find!). I turned (and held) the adjusters with a pair of pliers this time, but having the actual correct tool would make it a little easier.

Movie 150 / New Movie Owner - Service Manual?
« on: August 16, 2016, 09:09:01 PM »
Hi Guys,

After five years on an A125 I just picked up a 2013 Movie 150. I love it already. It's about the same size, but it's a little faster, the brakes are better, and the suspension is better. I think it's gonna be  a lot of fun.

I'm looking to download a service manual . Does anyone have a virus-free recommendation?

Thanks,

Agility 125 / Bad Auto bystarter - Where to buy?
« on: May 11, 2016, 06:53:14 PM »
Hi Guys,

it seems like the electric choke (auto bystarter) on my A125 is going bad. The bikes starts OK, but the idle stays high and doesn't come down as the engine warms up. I see a bunch of different ones for sale on eBay. Anyone got a link to one that will work for me?

Thanks,

Agility 125 / Alternator Output
« on: March 12, 2015, 11:30:18 AM »
The battery in my A125 died yesterday. As I was messing with it I checked the alternator output. The battery reads 12.65 engine off. With the engine running and some rpm it reads over 14, like 14.25 or so. That seems a little high, but I'm not an electrical expert. What do you guys think?

Agility 125 / Engine Blew Up - Kinda
« on: January 05, 2015, 01:48:43 PM »
HI Guys,

I lost a cam bearing, which caused the cam chain to jump off the sprocket and bury itself in the tunnel. I'm in the process of taking everything apart right now. Valves and piston look good. My plan is to pull everything apart and clean out the scrap metal, then put it back together with a new cam and cross my fingers. Wish me luck.

Agility 125 / Roller Weights - Where to Buy? What Brand?
« on: October 24, 2013, 07:45:36 PM »
Hi guys,

I need a set of rollers for my Kymco Agility 125 (18x14, 14 gr). After several trips to the local dealers ("We'll have to order that," then "Oh, we forgot to call you," then "We had them, but we put them in a customers bike. Sorry. Should we order them again?") I have decided to give the internet a chance. I see a lot of them on eBay. Does anyone have a preferred online dealer and / or brand? I'm not entirely comfortable ordering from China or Taiwan, so I'd rather get them from the States.

As an aside, if you were a Kymco dealer, wouldn't you stock a few sets of weights for each of your bikes, especially the more popular ones? I checked our three local Kymco dealers. None in stock. Happy to order for you.

Thanks,

Agility 125 / Front Pulley and Clutch Cover Removal - How?
« on: September 30, 2013, 09:38:38 AM »
Hi Guys,

I tried to do some PM on the bike yesterday. My bike has been a little jerky on acceleration lately, so I figured I'd pull to drive cover and take the front pulley and the clutch pack off and see if anything needed cleaning or replacing.

Well, that plan didn't work worth a crap. There was nfw I was getting either of those nuts off. I have a pretty extensive set of tools, and an active imagination, but I couldn't get those nuts off for the life of me. Rarely have I had my ass kicked so thoroughly in the garage.

The manual mentions a flywheel holder. I figure I need one of those.  There seem to be  few on sale various places. Any suggestions on where to buy? Any other ideas to make this job easier / doable?

Thanks,

Agility 125 / Valve Clearance Question
« on: September 16, 2013, 05:24:10 PM »
I'm checking the valves on my Agility 125. Intake is good. The exhaust has essentially no clearance at all! before I make the adjustment I want to make sure. I check the intake and exhaust with the engine at the same spot, right? I don't rotate 360 to check the exhaust, do I? In my mind it makes sense to do them both at the same time, but I'm a little surprised by the tight exhaust valve and I want to make sure. I've worked on a bunch of twins where you have to rotate the engine 360 to check the other cylinder, but I don't thinkk that applies here.

Thanks in advance,

Agility 125 / Don't Overfill that Oil!
« on: March 22, 2013, 08:44:53 PM »
Changed the oil today. Overfilled it a little bit. I put in about 0.8 liters, which had oil covering the bottom of the fill hole. A little overfilled, but not too bad. I started the bike up and let it run for a minute or two, then shut down and checked the oil again. Holy crap! It was completely emulsified. It was the color of caramel, completely opaque, and filled with tiny bubbles.

Oh well, lesson learned. I drained out some oil. I'm going to let it sit overnight and hopefully the bubbles will percolate out. i think I'm good-to-go. Any violent disagreement?

Agility 125 / Changed Tires!
« on: February 01, 2013, 01:40:52 PM »
Hi guys,

I changed the tires on my Agility 125 last night. It went pretty well. The only real sticking point was breaking the beads. I ended up resting a 6-foot piece of 2x6 against the bead and driving my car up up onto the board. I can't wait to try out my new Michelin City Grips.

Agility 125 / Torque Value for Oil Drain Plug and Oil Screen Bolt
« on: August 15, 2012, 09:09:10 PM »
I'm changing my oil. The manual says about 1.0 kg-m for both of those bolts, which translates to about 7 ft-lbs. That doesn't seem like much. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Agility 125 / 68 mph!

I saw 68 mph indicated yesterday with a 25 kt tailwind! How 'bout that!
