Too many inappropriate comments to make about giving your wife a snake as a present (insert jokes here).  But hey if it makes the wifey happy then get her whatever she wants.  ;D

Happy wife, happy life!

Hey Art, if you get around to it please explain the head shaving thing. I assume you mean just taking 40 thousandsths off the head surface to get a higher compression? Any need to worry about interference with this mod? A change in jetting isn't needed I would think. This is for a '09 super 9 btw. I haven't heard of this topic being discussed on this forum yet but then again I don't have easy access to internet right now. Thanks in advance.

Todd, here is a link that will get you started although I haven't bought anything on this page. There are many recommendations from forum members if you do a search.

Hey sparko, art hasn't been around for quite some time, not since another "member" continuously hung s#*t on him.
Is a pity, he was a nice bloke.
Cheers,
Sid.

General Discussion / Re: AG 125 or Super8 ?
« on: January 21, 2012, 08:02:18 PM »
I can't answer the two up question, but I was recently looking for a scooter and had a look at a Super 8 125, it was a nice scooter and was the quickest of the three that I rode (the other two being a Yamaha Cygnus X which was crap and a SYM VS125). The two points that I didn't like about the Super 8 was no room for feet. It seems to be designed to have your feet tucked together right in front of the seat. The second point was the angle of the seat, always trying to stop yourself from sliding forward, very uncomfortable.
Cheers,
Sid.

Sounds like you would be losing your hair. Good on you with the learning, keep at it. Coopers is a family owned brewery, supposed to be pretty good, but I wouldn't know, been off the grog over 10 years now.
PM me an addy and I will send my inlet over to you, I don't need it anymore. We are talking the oko?

G'day thebatman, thought I would reply here rather than continue off topic on the other thread. If you are having trouble with a seal at the intake, where is the leak? With mine, I used a little ultra blue silicon sealant, that will take up any leaks that aren't too big. Are you able to get another inlet, if not let me know.
Going back to school is a big move, good on ya.
All the best,
sid.

Agility 50 / Re: Air filter drain pipe

If it is before the filter it won't do any harm, but after the filter it will. Seeing how these small scoots are sensitive to change, I wonder if that would be enough to alter the tuning.

Yep, if that is on the engine or "clean" side of the filter, it will get unfiltered air.

Good to hear from you thebatman, I still reckon that if I used a 44mm cranj from the start, I would not have had the problems Learm as you go. :)

Blue, if that is on the engine side of the filter, you will be sucking dirty, unfiltered air into your engine.

Well, I don't know whoo makes the best one, but some people think it is best to buy the big name brands. I guess that way you can't go wrong. Like they say when you buy cheap stuff, "you get what you pay for", I think that holds true with the brand name stuff as well, if you want the name, you will pay for it. I have tried to cylinder kits on the ZX, a 50mm and a 47mm, the 47mm came from scrappy dog scooters and was far better than the 50mm one from taiwan.
I think in the end it will be a matter of trying one and see how you go with it. Zombie used to swear by Malossi, but after doing in pistons, he changed to one that I think came from Taiwan,it looked identical to the 50mm kit I had first off.
Still, wait for thebatman, Shaka or zombie to reply, they will give you a better idea. BUT, ask zx50boy,
he is getting 80-85mph from his zx ::), he will set you straight. :D :D :D

I had a zx50, completely different scoot, but sold that and bought a sym VS 125 and though it is not as snappy as the zx, I think it is far better. I have since put a 150 engine in simply because I got a damaged near brand new one for a good price. I'll not look back.
