Hey all,
I'm not much of a gear head, but I have been reading up on the forum and I removed a washer that was lodged in the tube from my carb to my engine. This was definitely an upgrade as my bike now has much better acceleration. However, when I am idling for a long time, for instance at a stoplight, and I accelerate my engine bogs down and sometimes turns off completely. Is this an issue with the jetting of my scooter or do I need to adjust the air/fuel mixture on the carb? If it is the latter, where can I find the screw to adjust the air/fuel mixture??

Low idle jet needs cleaning.

Did this scooter idle properly before your modification?

when I accelerated it before the modification, and before storage it worked fine. I took it out of storage, made sure it was up to snuff and did the modification. Maybe I just didn't notice it before. I'll be able to check the carb tmrw and let you guys know.

Now that you have mentioned that the scooter was in storage, I would agree with Mr. Paul's diagnosis. Clean the idle jet (soak it overnight or longer in the appropriate carb cleaner). Make sure you can see daylight through it before installing it.

I checked the carb and it was clean, no residue anywhere. And upon checking it, the idle speed screw isn't working at all. Ive attached a couple videos to show what I'm talking about.

Brought it to the mechanic and found out it was a carb issue, he was able to derestrict too while fixing the issue.
