While at the Art on the (school) Lawn show today in my coffee village, I saw a convoy of 6 Can-Am Spyders and a whole bunch of motorcycles and cruisers ride through town.
Then I came upon these two Hondas parked in the shade.
$3600 MSRP with only an $80 rear rack for accessories. Probably put you out the door for @$4500, all in.

That dealer is 86 miles away.
I've seen nothing in recent years that impressed me as much as these two beauties.
I like: small engines, big wheels, ABS, LEDs, quality build.
If I was 5'7" instead of 6'3".!!
At that price they've a lot of detractors - I'm not one.

A coworker at work is planning to get one. As soon as she gets out of her cast.

A modern update of a well-worked-out classic, beautifully done. :D

I was a SYM dealer and had very little demand for the SYMBA.... although I thought it should have been a runaway best seller.
-
They are about 6k in Australia. They look very nice though, definitely not a regular superclub.

OK, you've got my attention - what is it?

It kind of reminds me of an Aprilia Scarabeo 50 cc

Sorry. I thought everyone in the two wheel word had heard.
It's the new Honda Super Cub.
In variations from Honda since the 1950's - the most produced vehicle in history.
Reportedly...this version is actually made in Japan once again!

For those to young to remember the original here it is the CA 100 Honda Cub 50...
-
Love the new iteration.
It shares an engine with the Grom so parts are abundant, & varied if you're of a mind to tweak 'em.
Sadly no room in the garage at the moment so not likely to happen.

The Cross Cub has been in the rumour mill for years. We can but dream.

Another new Honda. No word on if/when it will come to the USA. 150cc based on the PCX.

Man is that thing ugly! Flows like a brick.
When the designer opens his eyes - he's going to be embarrassed.

I butt tested the Super Cub last year at the Long Beach Motorcycle Show. I made vroom, vroom noises. It's a little small, and with the single seat, it is a little cramped. I would love to try one out though.

Looks are in the eyes of the beholder. I think it looks great and I think that scooters like this as well as retro looking bikes like the Super Cub are the wave of the future. The 750cc Honda X ADV which looks similar the 150 pictured above is a hot seller in Europe. Honda is also planning a 300cc version which is probably the most likely to make it to the USA. If they bring the 150 version and it is truly off road capable and not just a styling exercise then I might consider buying one.
Don't be surprised if Kymco brings an off road/Adventure styled scooter in the near future as well.
