Technical | How To / Re: Carb Inlet?
« on: November 03, 2021, 02:09:46 AM »
Are you referring to the upright (at about the 11:00 position) projection?  If so, there is a hole drilled into the side of that projection on the other side which you cannot see.  When you pump the carb, fuel is pumped through that hole toward the needle and slide giving the carb and additional shot of fuel.  I used this accelerator pump when starting my Agility 50.  It seemed to help.

Agility 125 / Re: Overall size of the 125 vs. the 50 Agility

same physical scooter..different motor. You can check dimensions at kymcousa.com and click on the 2021 scooters and compare the 2.
Thanks, Iahawk.  Dimensions are virtually the same except seat height and, of course, weight.

Is the Agility 125 much larger (seat height, wheel base, etc.) that the Agility 50?

zx50 / Re: Can someone please help me 2003 kymco zx 50 super fever
« on: October 02, 2021, 05:44:55 PM »
I cannot find ZX50 or Super Fever listed when I look for parts on Kymco dealer websites.  Is this model called something else?

20
I wonder if the Italian Kymco dealers are satisfied with Kymco support or if there has been a lot of dealer turnover.

I suggest you post photos of the CVT without the cover.  Also, maybe a photo of the ECU.  And the carburetor

22
Have you looked at the ECU to see if it is original?  Have you removed the CVT cover to see if changes have been made there (variator, springs, weights, drive boss, etc.) ?   Has the carb been replaced?

Super 8 / Re: 2018 - main fuse blowing , aftermarket exhaust problem????

Unlikely relationship.  However, retrace in your mind everything else you did about the time of the exhaust installation that might have involved wiring - even inadvertent things.  Did you pinch or damage a wire accidently?

Agility 50 / Re: Stock jetting

Kymco Agilities have pretty good carbs from my experience.  I have used some aftermarket jets as replacements for my Agility carb and that worked fine.

I believe the stock pilot jet on my 2011 with a Keihin carb was a 35.

People 50 / Re: 2008 Kymco People 50 Battery Location?

It looks like that might be where the battery actually lives, huh.
Front Cover & Floor Panel parts diagram would seem to imply this.  See the description of part #163.

I have 1100 miles on my 72cc build and most of that was at 47mph. They can handle quite a bit.

Roy,  What year is your Super 8?

General Discussion / Difficulty in finding parts?
« on: August 31, 2021, 10:49:36 PM »
I've not needed Kymco parts for a while but I'm hearing chatter about problems finding parts or distributors.  My 2 local Kymco dealers dropped the Kymco line so I have no local dealer to support.  I had been considering purchasing a used Kymco this coming winter but parts availability now concerns me.  Are the online sources of OEM Kymco parts able to get parts and give good service? Should I be concerned about purchasing another Kymco scooter for this reason?

Agility 50 / Re: Agility 50 how to remove rear light to replace bulb
« on: August 29, 2021, 11:16:32 PM »
Going by memory here.  I think mine (2011) had just 2 screws retaining the lense. Could be someone  applied a glue or sealant.
Can't remember bulb # but it was a common 2-filament automotive bulb available at most auto parts stores.
