people 50.broken starter and kick start

i  have a people 50 2003 with a broken starter and kick start crank,wich is cheaper to replace also can i only replace the crank or i nead both thanks

I would replace the kick start first, that way you can start it no matter what!  Not sure which is cheaper. I know that my local Kymco dealer wanted $68 for a new starter on my zx50.

Yeah, They're both about the same! the kick shaft/half moon gear I believe is $20.00, and the driven gear on the starter shaft is about the same. Add the return spring, and your in the same ball park. I have not had an elec starter on my zx since iv'e owned it. I repaired it twice (brushes-start relay) saw the price of a new one, and forgot about it
