Kymco super 8 50 4t derestrict request?

Hi guys im new here , about 2 months i get a scooter kymco super 8 50 4t well as you know very beautiful , nice sound , but acceleration and top speed su^s . I want a good solution for derestricting my moto as i know it has 2 restrictions in variator and rev limit in cdi box
So which is the best solution of derestricion ?

cut the cdi or get a un restricted cdi ( ebay) and is it the variaitor boss that is restricted? then get a high speed variator or just change the boss.

well i have an agility 50 but sure most parts are the same. just on yours the roleres are hevery. malossi is prob best. polini is prob just as good. but both kits come with torque spring varaitor and rolers. but they are not cheep. i went for naruku varaitor as i wanted a little cheeper but had already changed the torque spring so did not need half the kit.
look up on ebay. most sellers have the part no on the page. then look at other places to see if cheeper. i found that for the maloss it was the same price everwhere even in local shops. im a big fan of keeping local if same price+ they will give you lots of help.

you could just change the boss but in a bit you will prob change the variator anyway to get a bit more out of it. so cheeper in the long run to buy it together.

so is the same thing if i cut cables from cdi box or change it
and if i buy drive boss will it go 75-80 without any prob with my stock variator?

im not sure on the cdi as its not the same as an agility. i guess your from the usa. but in the uk just found on ebay narku

sure there is plenty more if you look hard enough.

also

narku Kymco Super 8 4 Stroke 50 High Speed Variator

both will be good de restriction.


if its 4 stroke you will not get 75-80 you will be hard pushed on a 125 to get that.

derestricted i think you would get 45-50

these are 4 stroke NOT 2 STROKE.

Just get a unrestricted boss first. I bought a malossi variator for my super 8 and I lost some top speed and it caused my belt to ware out much faster. Switched back to the stock var and got my top speed back and no more belt dust.

and in my state is fck%$ hard to find something for my kymco super 8
so i will order from my uncle in in italy or switerland .
i want to get 75-80 km/h not mph :p
so best solution is buying cdi box and boss ride

Get a 90 jet, unrestricted drive boss and open up the air box some- remove the small hose and drill bigger hole.  The USA models have a restricted rear driven pulley and a short belt that takes 15kph off the top end. Not sure if yous will have that.

i will talk with the serviceman he firstly said it has a restriction only in carburator and i will beat him with my facts :P
show me any link from ebay about 90 jet  , is a bigger jet or what i dont understand btw i just drive dont know whats inside :P

yes not sure on super 8 size but would expect 80 0r 82 jet.

i have not hurd of this air filter mod on the super 8 air box befor. pimpy could you tell us more?



 id only change the filter/ or play with jets of you know your motors. is a head ake to get right and if you get it wrong it can damage your engine.
recerch" plug chops" in your serch bar at the top.

as pimpy said i have seen some of these restrictions on the rear pully. it should be a shamfer at the bottom of the drive face stopping both faces in a v shape (belt in between) touching. closer the faces are the higher the belt = more top speed.


after these mods you may want to look into changing torque spring and even clutch springs to give you better rpm. and better up hill proformance

You can take out the yellow plastic piece and use a tiny screwdriver og something pointy and remove one of the purple wires, then wrap it with tape. That way you dont have to cut anything and you can put the wire back in at a later time if you deside it.


Before you do that you should derestrict the variator by buying a smooth bush like this.


And then take the original bush out.
