zx50 / Flotek ported and built 82cc Fabrizi/MHR SC10AS
« on: June 29, 2014, 07:07:08 PM »
I commissioned Flotek, http://flotekperformance.com/services ,to build an engine or two. The guy is an awesome and extremely knowledgeable person when it comes to porting and 2 strokes. Hes also a great guy to deal with in general.
If I had met him prior to building my banshee I could have saved hundreds on parts by buying the correct ones first. Now I had to buy all different stuff then what the keyboard mechanics said was "the perfect combo" when in reality the pipes dont even match my cylinders porting. Thanks to me for believing the internet and not asking a professional.
I highly recommend everyone to use him this winter or now if you have time to wait. Hes a super busy guy and Im extremely happy he took the time to build this scooter engine, and my other things.

General Discussion / Some people are great
« on: January 30, 2014, 04:05:15 PM »
Thanks Sam!
Some times you just have to say some choice words, then you feel better and remove them because you know that the trolls live for those moments.
Ill have to say this for certain, its better to just ignore the moron and hope not too many people follow the advice of a guy whos only blown up every engine hes tried to build.
Hope the weather gets better in the states for some good riding weather and we all get out and enjoy our kymcos!

zx50 / Chinese scoot final gears for zx50
« on: January 23, 2013, 01:46:11 AM »
The final gear on the zx50 is the same as chinese scoots, so you can now find them for cheap Im sure. Only thing is the counter wont work or at least the shaft is too small for the bearings.

For Sale / 2011 tao tao cy50 t3 with 20 KM 750$
« on: November 19, 2012, 09:38:16 PM »
Up for sale is a tao tao cy50 t3, comes with title and 2 sets of keys. New stator and rear rim. Apparently it had a faulty stator and there was a recall on the rear rim from a factory flaw. Runs great and mileage may increase if I take it out for a few more spins. Currently it has 20 Km on it and still doing the break in which means no real throttling is being done. So no clue what top speed is.
750$ and its in St Louis Mo, I can deliver it for the amount of gas it takes to drive there and back.
I will get pictures up later on today or tomorrow. Its black tho. Heres a link to what it is and the online price which is 60$ cheaper than around here.

For Sale / 04 kymco zx50 with mods 650$ with title
« on: October 23, 2012, 02:11:20 PM »
04 Kymco zx50 with a 72cc aluminum cylinder from moped hospital, v8 non expansion style exhaust, arreche 19mm carb, keli variator, mallosi yellow center spring, newer rear brakes, newer rear tire, new bearing and seals in it around 3KM ago, runs great up to 50 mph + can be more if more mods done. Does come with a title. 11k KM on it so around 6800 miles, I put new bearing and seals in it not long ago so itll last a long time. I only run 93 octane and Amsoil in it, rear gears use royal purple racing lube.
Only problem is it needs a new front plastic nose, I had it sitting on the ground and an idiot stomped it 2 times, not once but twice. Second time it broke off the lower part. Not really room to haggle with on it as the parts cheap to find and itll come painted correctly from dealer. As soon as I find my camera Ill post pics of it. Might be a bit because I think I left it out at my friends moms.
I can deliver anywhere for the gas it takes, no more, no less. Its in St Louis, Mo.

Heres a few pics to show the swap done easily, it is a drop in swap.
Malossi gear about to go onto the zx counter after pressing off old one.

This is what the case side looks like stock after trans final drive housing is removed.

Housing side with the C clip on the final drive out put shaft, Im sure thats not the technical term but back off it is what it is.

You take the case with the primary gear over to the press and press it out, you can use a torch for a little heat if you plan on replacing the oil seal.

Try not to let gears hit the floor ever, I have a bunch of soft stuff under it also including the bag.

Side by side kind of shot from on top.

Press Malossi back in with some grease after freezing for at least 30- 60 minutes, I do over night.

Press malossi big gear onto counter shaft after freezing the shaft for at least 30-60 minutes, I do over night when I can.

Put them back in the case to make sure they line up. For final installation I swapped location of the blue trans washer and the metal washer on the counter shaft, other wise it binds, but after swapping its always perfect. The blue will go towards the clam shell side and metal will go towards case side.

Dont forget to put the larger inner diameter washer under the final drive gear against the case so when you push the trans clam-shell closed it will be pushed against the gear and the bearing opposite of the C clip. the gear will ride against the C clip and the washer to gear combo.
Use this diagram from kymcopartsonline for reference if you get confused on location of anything.
http://kymcopartsonline.com/catalog/search_diagram_detail.php?s_fk_manufacturers_id=21&s_fk_model_year_id=1&s_fk_scooter_model_id=12&s_parts_diagram_id=275
I hope any of this helps in an easy swap and you dont get stuck like this guy did in front of my house. I think hes on the crack.

Id like to thank my neighbor for letting me use his press and his help with this.
