Title: Getting at turn signal relay of People S200
Post by: iramicay on July 17, 2017, 01:16:56 AM
Hi.  Can anyone help me with a step by step on how to remove the plastic covering under the handle bars to get at the turn signal relay?  I tried but somehow couldn't get the two halves to separate and didn't want to force them.  Thanks.

I think I tried to explain this once before...as these plastics have to be removed to access the front brake fluid reservoir, too....you must remove the 4 visible screws and the 2 'bolts' down low, 1 on each side. I can't recall if you must also loosen the front plastic cover, too...it might be necessary.

The trick to removing the rear cover is to pull out on each lower side before you pull it back. You have to clear the bolt holes..

Just looked at scoot..yes, front cover must come off before rear or along with rear, remove windshield and then start unscrewing and gently pulling and tugging...not very intuitive but can be done. Good luck!

Checking the manual it refers to removing the front cover, not the bar covering.

FRONT UPPER COVER REMOVAL
Remove the six screws on the back of the
front upper cover.
Remove the bolt and two adjusting screws on
the front of the front upper cover.
Disconnect the signal light wire connector.
Remove the front upper cover.
The installation sequence is the reverse of
removal.

If you don't have a copy I believe I got mine here http://www.49ccscoot.com/manuals/Kymco_People_S_50-200_Service_Manual.pdf. (http://www.49ccscoot.com/manuals/Kymco_People_S_50-200_Service_Manual.pdf.)
if that doesn't work for ya PM me.
