Will a Kymco 150cc engine fit in a Vitality?
« on: January 28, 2021, 12:48:35 AM »
Hey, y'all.

I'm about to get started working on my wife's 08 Vitailty 2T, in a few days,  which has been sitting for about 3+ years.

Last time I rode it, I heard a LOUD pop and it never started again. I toyed with it a bit and just left it in the corner of the garage.

It has a 70 cc BBK and other go-fast goodies and gets up to about 66 mph (not GPS verified). I'm trying to cover all bases, so I was wondering what I would do if the engine is trashed.

Does anyone know if a 150cc Kymco engine would bolt right in? If the 2T is toast, I'd wanna convert to a 4T. My thought process is the Super 8's 50 4T may be the "4 stroke version of the 50 2T"...and since there is a 150 cc Super 8....y'all see where I'm going with this.

Also, how about a GY6? If a GY6 would fit easily, I'd do the 171cc BBK. Of course if the engine is NOT trashed, I'll just keep it in the scoot and ride it till it dies.

In any event, I want to get it up and running ASAP.

Any responses would be greatly appreciated.
