before you spray the lube on your linkage try spraying brake cleaner on it wait a minute or two so it will evaporate then follow up with the lube that way you are not wasting all that lube that you paid good money for.

I have a 2018 700 prime as well out on a flat she will do 50 mph and I have checked it 3 ways, an app on my phone from a car that followed me ( don't recommend ) and from a radar gun all were close enough to be able to say 50 mph but it does get squirrely at that speed. absolutely love mine and it will shift easier as you break in your machine. have fun with it !

thank you for the feed back now I can start weighing my options I prefer side mirrors myself I just wasn't sure if I should fool around with the windshield being afraid I might break it or something,
but for those who have side mirrors, any issues with them snagging on branches or getting them torn off that is another concern I have

Side By Side / back up camera ?
« on: March 27, 2019, 11:00:49 AM »
hello everybody,
I have some add on's to put on my 700 prime you know the normal stuff, light bar tiger tail and rear view mirrors I got a rear view mirror that bolts up in side the cab but here is the rub. the roof comes down the back of the cab so much that I can barely see what's behind me unless it's right on my butt. I don't want to put on side mirrors because I would have to notch the windshield to make them fit correctly. so I was wondering what about a backup camera ?  I was thinking I could put a switch on it to turn it on and off when I needed to, it's not so much for backing up as it is for watching for folks behind me when riding in a group. just want to know what people's thoughts were on this

Hey PA.
I live in Tioga county just a little north of you folks I've have a 2018 700LE prime unit and yeah it's a blast something you might want to check ( cause I don't know if this applies to the 450's ) I ran into a bit of trouble the other day my friend wanted to try my machine so I let him drive and I rode shotgun we went into the woods on his property when my machine up and died. couldn't figure out what was going on at first then I noticed a wire hanging down underneath the bed and I thought it must've gotten snagged on something and came loose so I checked it and it fired right back up so we went a few more yards and it died again and I went through the process again and this went on till we got it back to the house. ended up taking it back to the dealer to try and diagnose the problem and after a little bit of discussing we came to the conclusion that it wasn't the wiring. what it happened was it was the first time somebody was in the passenger seat and just below it sits the fuel tank. and the fuel line comes out of the tank and routes through between the seat and the seat mount frame. now there is just enough play between the seat and frame that when you hit a bump that the fuel line is loose enough to come out of its notch and pinches between the seat and frame and my fat butt was cutting off the fuel supply !   :D we all got a good laugh out of that one so we zipped tied it down and she has been fine since.

your dealer isn't wrong I do let mine warm up for a little bit before I take off and I haven't had any stall issues yet I had it out the other day when we had some fairly decent weather and it ran great. by the way. congrads on the price you got it for. sounds like a hell of a deal

is it just me or does this thing sound a little sketchy !?
if it is standard equipment regardless weather you bought the winch or not it seems to me it should have been installed or at the very least ask you if you want it put on cause if not the dealer now has a free mounting plate that he can charge full price to some unsuspecting person that should happen to come along and has a winch put on their machine.  ???

well A/C isn't the only ones that use kymco as their parts vendor honda and a couple of others do as well so yeah I can see why they would balk at letting kymco get their foot in the door i'm not looking to do anything radical to my machine just to lift it by a couple of inches and find some half doors for it if I did anything more than that I would limit myself were I could ride it do to the fact the trails can be fairly narrow at places and some public trails have a size restriction especially here in pa.

I don't know about clutch kits but you could try wheel spacer's it will push the tires out further but the down fall is you will be catching all the mud on you !
