« on: March 31, 2019, 06:19:59 PM »
Hi everybody, just wanted to know how many miles these original belt and rollers can go. My scoot is a 2009 with 7,900 miles on her. Im just about to get her out from winters nap. Think ,all i need to do is check tires, change oil and filter and ride the thing...lol What do you all think? Also never did coolant either, but looks clean.

Hi everyone,I wanted to ask if anyone is in michigan and would be interested in group riding. I dont see any clubs or scoot people near me. I love my scoot but would be fun to have a weekend thing or meetup. Please let me know if anyone is near the Royal Oak area in Michigan. Thanks guys, everyone be safe. I'm patiently waiting for the weather to warm up so the xciting can come out of hibernation.🤙

The new battery I purchased was also 220 cca. I also got the same results. Faster cranking and for the first time since bought new in 2010....it actually starts under 40 degrees now!  So very happy!

My owners manual states that valves are not due for inspection until 16,000 miles. At 4,000 miles that belt is most likely like new,as mine was. Id change the oil/filter,gear oil,and air filter. Dont sweat the others. You can wait a while.

Xciting 500 / Cold start issue update..
« on: October 24, 2017, 09:52:45 PM »
I have owned my 09 xciting 500 since brand new in 2010. This thing has never started under 45 degrees.  I have been through 2 batteries so far. Yesterday i purchased the Yuasa agm high performance version of the 14 bs. It has a higher cold cranking amp than stock. Long story short my scoot has started flawlessly the last 2 40 degree mornings, this has never happened before,i am so happy,i hope this was the answer. Changed the plug to a hotter one also, the c7 instead of the c8 ngk. Just wanted to update you all. Be safe everyone!
