It’s a great little machine, you will really enjoy it.  Word of caution, Check that your diffs are filled.  My front one came empty, not sure if manufacturer or dealer dropped the ball there.

Hello,

I have a 2015 UXV 700 and it has always been super hard to start in the cold.   I replaced the batter this spring and hope this will help but the starter is now going on it.  Is there a part number (cross reference with another brand) for this  UTV?

Also it now does not start in gear so I am assuming it can be blown fuse which I will start with.

Thanks

Not starting in gear could be related to the brake switch.  If it's not seeing that the brake is applied it won't try and start

Thanks to all who responded to my issue on my 450i.  I finally got a neighbor to help me rock it and it finally came out of gear.  The machine is now at the dealer to be fixed, as it still wouldn't start in gear or in park.  I love this little machine and use it every day.

What's the update?

450/700 riders...

Has anyone had issues with starting?  I notice ever since I have had mine it doesn't fire up right away when it's cold.  I turn the key and wait for the EFI to kick off then turn the key to start and it tries to fire but doesn't right away.  Usually I will let off then turn it again then it will start.

Wondering if anyone has had this issue or know what might be causing it?  Maybe fuel filter or something with the EFI?

Is the battery good?  Sounds like nothing to worry about, if it's cranking slow get a new / better battery.

Most SxS regardless of brand can get bound up in gear, it is completely normal. Tap the gas lightly to get it out or rock the machine.

That 450 is a sweet little motor.  Gobs of power for the machine size.

Great to hear you got your issues figured out.  Mine came with an empty front diff that got driven 500 miles and nearly destroyed.  Replaced under warranty obviously.

Sounds like the dealer needs to be slapped.  That's all dealer assembly you are referring too

450 has major wavos.  You will not be devoid of power for its size.

I had a vibration I couldn't get rid of for the life of me, not saying that made it a bad machine though.  Quality is quite high, the only thing I thought needed work was how scabby and small the frame welds look.

I had a 450, honestly it's a very solid machine.  Will keep up with the 700, same motor and drivetrain that is in the arctic cat 500 SxS if that tells you something.  My only complains where rattles that I couldn't get rid of, and that the factory delivered t with the front differential empty.  Amazing it didn't grenade on me.  Shifter notchiness is no different than the other brands with mechanical shifters.

Does it feel like a limiter at 4500?  Maybe ignition coil is failing.

Also, everyone check their diffs, mine came empty from the factory and had to be replaced under warranty :(

Yeah I've been told my windshield will be here every month since last September.  They need to step it up.  Another issue I am having is front end rattling.  One is from the steering wheel bushing, the other is metallic and annoying as hell somewhere in the front between 5-15 mph.  Only started happening after about 150 miles.  It echoes through the roll cage and I cannot find the source.
