Agility 125 / Slight popping sound On Deceleration
« on: May 19, 2016, 12:00:40 AM »
Hi all.Looking for some advice to diagnose my agility 125.This is a new scooter with only 800 km on it.Today when stopping at intersections it kept stalling,it appeared the idle speed was too low.I drove it home and took the seat off to check for a loose hose or anything else I could see.I could not find anything loose so I started it up and adjusted the idle speed up.It did not stall any more but it was running rough at low idle and occasionally popping on deceleration. It ran great at higher speeds.I brought it back home and removed the spark plug that I changed 200 miles ago.The end of the plug was totally black but not wet.I put a new one in and it runs slightly better but still not right. It still pops on deceleration from the muffler. The only thing I do know is the gas is not the problem. It is under warranty but I don't feel comfortable driving it 20 miles to the dealer.I only have a general idea on how to adjust a carburetor but I did not even see an adjustment screw. If the carb does need an adjustment,I just cant see how it could be perfect one minute and off this much the next minute.Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Agility 125 / Re: Extra gasoline storage under the seat?
« on: May 06, 2016, 12:23:15 AM »
Thanks for the ideas.I'm leaning towards the gallon container on the floor of the scooter.I will give some thought to making a removable box to put the gas can in.
I have had my share of severe problems using gasoline with ethanol in it from my chainsaw to my last scooter. My local fire department has not used gasoline with ethanol in it in any of their emergency equipment for many years because of all the issues they had. They were using some special racing fuel that came in 50 gallon drums until non ethanol fuel became available locally. We have a very small airport in town which sells only non ethanol fuels but only if you have a pilot license, which I do not. They told me that it is a felony to put ethanol gasoline into any aircraft because of all the damage it does to fuel lines and carburetors.I bought a gas operated leaf blower last fall which the manual clearly stated the warranty would be void if gasoline containing ethanol was used in it.I truly believe the ethanol problem is real and so do the professionals I've spoken to.
I have heard of star-tron and if it were my last resort I would use it but for now at least its not my last resort.
Thanks again for the ideas......

Agility 125 / Extra gasoline storage under the seat?
« on: May 05, 2016, 06:23:12 PM »
I refuse to use gasoline containing ethanol in any of my small gasoline engines especially my new agility 125.I have one source locally to purchase ethanol free gas and I keep 20 gallons in a shed behind my house.I plan on taking several trips this summer that are in the 160 to 200 mile round trip. One tank of gas will not be enough for these trips.I was thinking of filling 4 one quart empty plastic motor oil containers with my ethanol free gas and storing them in zip lock baggies under the seat.It sounds a bit dangerous but I think it will work.Any thoughts or opinions or other storage ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

I have a new 2014 Agility 125 and my manual states the same.I'm not sure if that number includes the weight of the scooter.I've wondered about that myself.

Agility 125 / Re: Lost spark plug (stupid mistake)

Well the magnet tool did the trick.I should have looked for a flexible one as I made a non flexible one into a one time use flexible one.For 5 bucks I could not be happier not having to worry about which bump I hit was going to send that plug flying somewhere it should not be.Thanks again for all your help.

Agility 125 / Lost spark plug (stupid mistake)
« on: April 24, 2016, 07:24:26 PM »
I decided to check the spark plug in my new agility 125 during my first oil change.I cleaned it up,checked the gap and thought I could use my fingers to hand tighten it to prevent cross threading.I did not use the socket to hold the plug and give me more length. It dropped down inside the black plastic shroud under the engine head.I do not see any easy way to get it out.I did install a new plug the smarter way using a socket without issue.I drove the bike a few miles and did not hear anything.Am I looking at damage by leaving the plug down there?Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks
