Agility 125 / 12.5% optimistic speedo?
« on: August 22, 2013, 01:31:01 PM »
I tried searching on here, but have any of you heard/seen a Speedo be that optimistic? I was expecting the Speedo to be about 7-9% optimistic, but not this much. I guess I'll be changing the oil every 2250 km, not every 2000.

Based on my phone GPS, when the Speedo says I'm going 45/46, I'm really going 40.

Nice. I just bought an '07 with 3500 km. How come people recommend using rotella t oil? I bought some last night and ended up returning it after seeing it was diesel oil, and changed the oil with conventional 10w-40. Also, can you buy the right gear oil at an auto store?

How come you guys use shell rotella t? That's a diesel motor oil afterall. I went to wally world to buy rotella t, returned it after seeing it was diesel oil and just bought some conventional 10w-40 oil. Did I do alright? I just bought an agility 125 and want to change all the fluids right away to be safe.

zx50 / Re: Should i splice the wires for this CDI?
« on: June 07, 2012, 10:04:19 PM »
its not too bad. This is my bros moped from college that i ride everyday to work that i can. It used to top out at an indicated 42 mph which would be about 38 mph actual. But now it tops out under 35 as the speedo reads 36-37 at full speed. Its because it was running really low on oil and i probably rode 2 miles with it dry of oil. I stopped to let it cool down once but now the top speed is significantly lower. Im looking for easy cheap mods so it can go 35-40 mph so it can keep up with traffic and was willing to try the cdi trick when i came across this.

zx50 / Should i splice the wires for this CDI?
« on: June 07, 2012, 01:45:10 AM »
Please look at the attached picture. This is the CDI on my zx 50. I believe its an 06. Should I splice the light green wire thats hanging to the right of the box to the dark green wire? Would it result in me being able to go faster? The cdi is a 5 pin and only the dark green wire is connected to it along with the other 4 wires. Thanks for your input.

Hey any help would be appreciated but im kind of in a hurry to get this fixed. I was trying to get rid of the rev limiter by splicing the green wires. While i was trying to do that, one of the wires came loose from one of the harnesses right above it. Its a black wire with a yellow line going down it. ANybody know what this wire is? My mopeds ignition works and turns of just fine but wont fire. Im trying to jam the wire end back into the harness but its not working very well. Any thoughts? thanks

Hey i'm considering getting an agility and i'm just wondering what the top speed is? I know that the speedo is very generous on kymcos and most mopeds so if you found your acutal mph please let me know on here.

zx50 / What are the 2 yellow lights right under the brake light?
« on: August 27, 2011, 01:19:48 AM »
Hey i was replacing my tail lights today and i took off the back "fender" where the 2 yellow lights or reflectors are. Are those supposed to be running lights? My zx 50 has the external blinkers that stick out and i noticed that there were light wires running to these 2 yellow lights in the fender. And if they are lights, they do not work on mine. Does anybody know if they are supposed to be blinkers or running lights? And going from the moped to the plastic wiring adapter there was only 1 wire so is there supposed to be another to complete the circuit? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
