Tune Up
« on: January 29, 2014, 11:12:42 PM »
I have a Kymco People 250. In the manual it states spark plug gap 0.6-0.7. By using a car gage, the numbers are as follows, .025, .030, .040 etc.....
Are the numbers the same? Also I noticed that on the engine side of the carburetor there are 2 small hoses. Where do these hoses go to because one is plugged with a screw. I just bought this bike and it has hesitation, that's why I'm trying to tune it up. Thanks, Jesse

0.6 mm = 0.23 in
The plugged hose doesn't sound right. You need to check the service manual to
see how it should go. Here's a couple of pics from the manual.

It has a fuel filter and a fuel pump. Might just be gummed up. Try some techron...

Thank You Sir for that info. I'll get on it tomorrow. I saw the pic's. On the engine side of the carb, there are 2 hoses. the one on the left is plugged with a screw. So I don't know where it's suppose to go. Thanks
