Winter Riding

A UK article, but it certainly reminded me of my 20 odd years of commuting by motorcycle!

http://www.speedmonkey.co.uk/2014/12/the-sheer-misery-of-being-motorcyclist.html

My reply to the author:  I enjoyed the article Matt, very true! In 20 years of daily commuting by ‘bike I had my fair share of misery, but also of sheer unadulterated joy. Remember those nights where the 25 mile ride home inexplicably becomes 125 miles?….

I very foundly recall a special 13 months when I was on a literal honeymoon with both my new wife and our new Honda motorcycle after we married as teenagers in Los Angeles.
This period included my first experience with all-weather riding (winter) in Massachusetts. We did wear nice Bells, but no other proper gear as this was 1967.
Rubberized jacket and pants were my go to foul weather riding gear.

This being the 60's, Uncle Sam had other plans for us teens after those few months....but I'll never forget how good was that  period...and how cold my hands would get!
