Terry

Your horn is located right behind the front panel...about -13 screws hold it on...once the screws are all out it is a bit of a pain in the ass to come off the first time....you have to pull up. Once you get going you will see what I mean. You can look online for the free service manual and it tells you where the screws are which is fairly obvious but you have to remove that tiny reflector which is held on with rtv cement to get to the front screw....here is a picture of where your horn is...the round object if you're unfamiliar.

So I got a few parts and began to do a little modifying.... I first started by grinding the plastic down flush, I then traced a 14mm hole and used the grinder to make a circle for the bulb holder to fit, once that was complete I took the bulb and placed it in the housing. Unfortunately the LED light did not work and caused hyperflashing...or a very fast flash. I haven't installed these lights yet and might just add them to the bike rather than replacing the existing ones... here it is for you to view...

10-4

It looks really nice, glad you took the bait and tried one out.

1. How did they pack it where it made it over here in one piece?
they packed it in a STIFF cardboard box stuffed with plastic  and paper to absorb some shock and they shipped it DHL express so it wasnt in transit for very long, it took less than a week to get it.

2. My Givi has the wind that comes around and hits me in the back, cooler times is the only time it bothers me, where i would normally not have to wear a jacket, I do now because of the cold coming up behind me.
Same with this one, now instead of getting wind in the face, I am getting it from the back,... if I am wearing a T shirt driving slow in the neighborhood my Tshirt fills with air and I look like the Michelin man lol, at slower speeds I catch a wiff of exhaust now and then but not that bad.

3. How tall is this one, say (measuring from the backside) from the top of your dash to the top of the shield?
I'm not sure at the moment, I would have to measure when I get home, but the specs on the shield are 21.5 inches from the center mounting bolt above the headlight to the top of the shield by 29.5 inches wide at the widest part......Got home and measured....if I'm sitting on the scooter looking out the shield, from the top of the dash to the top of the shield is 17"...

4. Between the signals and my shield I put black pieces of foam so my signals or shield would not be scratched.
good idea, maybe a piece of black felt or something like that would work too.

5. Total price to get it over here?
it was 117 euros which at the time converted to about $132 us dollars...it may be more or less depending on currency exchange rates

6. For others who have an interest, who did you buy it from .
I bought it off ebay...the seller who was willing to ship to USA is... craamato   Also, for others interested...the item is an Isotta is-e68 with the a-415 attachment hardware kit, do a google search and it will come up.

The fit is not too bad...had to massage it into place here and there but overall fits well... It does rest on the turn signals but I will not bother relocating them, its not that bad. The wind is now coming from behind and I smell a little fumes at lower speeds, I do notice that it does create more resistance and have to twist the throttle a bit more in places that I didn't have to before. I like it...very European....even the decals on it are written in Italian! Lol

The windshield cost €117 euros...about $130 usd. Not too bad considering I just returned one that cost $125... I too hope it arrives in one piece...lol I will let you know how I make out.

I would have trimmed down a Givi if I could have obtained the support brackets... If you look at that picture you can see he trimmed it but still used the brackets for support. The givi support brackets part# a438a have been discontinued.

Nobody is carrying any shield for the S250 anymore....I guess its just not worth keeping in inventory. however, I did order an Isotta windshield from a guy in Italy. I will have to relocate the turn signals...but I dont like them where they are anyhow. I have plans to move them in the European spot with some LED's...here is a quick pic of the shield I purchased. should be here in a week or so...

Thanks for the info on the puke tube... should this be drained regularly? I'm hearing some kind of noise coming from the engine/tranny area..some say it's the reed valve? Not sure but it sounds kinda weird.... hear it when accelerating mostly. Not sure if this puke tube is related or not but maybe something isn't breathing correctly or maybe this reed valve needs more room for expanding? Lol I have no idea...

Hey Tlram1,

Do you have any pictures of that Puig installed on your scoot? I'd be very interested to see it mounted up... Getting that model in the USA is a hassle, no one seems to carry them or any windshield for the S250. There is another one made by Isotta (cuppini) I am looking into....its larger like the givi and I will probably have to relocate the us standard signals but that's no problem.

Thanks for the replys....I don't believe anything major happened either at this point...it seems to be running real good ....I don't want to jinx myself so I'll leave it at that...lol.  I will however take a look at the air filter and replace it if needed. By the way...what's this puke tube ya'll talking about? Lol.

I found out there isn't a bulb in the front European winker...it's an led assembly...if it goes out the entire assembly needs to be replaced, can only get them over seas for $$$$
I got a couple from kymco for 18 bucks each...going to retrofit an led bulb into it.... more to come....

I found another cuppini shield over seas I am looking into...just have to see if it is in stock. It is made specifically for the S250 so no mucking about...lol.  not sure why it's not being imported over here. I'll keep in mind the mucking about if need be though...

Hey Tromper thanks for the reply....I tried that one...had to send it back... it just wouldn't fit at all...the plastic piece around the headlight on the S250 is wider than the s200 and the mirrors are in different positions and that is where the rear supports attach to...it didn't line up there and the mirrors were hitting on the shield...From the picture you would think it would fit by moving the turn signals but unfortunately it just wouldnt work at all...also the 3 mounting holes in the front are not in the exact place... they wouldn't line up. Even if I were to cut it etc.. It is a large windshield and without the supports from behind at the mirror position the wind force would probably snap it off and decapitate me...lol .... I want to try the Puig model 4402w but maybe someone tried it already? I'm just not close enough to any scooter supply shops and return shipping is going to start adding up here...lol

Hey People S250 owners... I can't seem to find a windshield for my scooter....has anyone had any luck with a model that can be retrofitted? Every place I call has nothing and they tell me "Oh somebody else just called looking too" so there is a demand for them but nothing available..  Givi still sells the windscreen but the hardware kit is no longer available...I have located several places overseas that has them but they are very pricey non responsive or will not ship to USA.
Why is it that this model has little to no accessories? I'm kind of disappointed with this.
