New Like 200i owner (by proxy)
« on: April 16, 2016, 03:56:42 AM »
Hello, I have recently purchased my wife a bigger scoot, she was using the 2006 Metro and loved it, but could not go very far, as 32-33 mph wont let you. We live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and have tons of 45-55 mph roads to explore. I have a 1986 Magna and a 2006 Majesty 400, my son has stolen the Metro for his use and he has a 2005 RM125 he wants to race with. We are 2 wheeled family when it doesn't snow. For Stig, we paid 2700 out the door. She wants a windshield soon, my fat butt has trouble getting the 2015 like up to 55... (I think I am a sail). Well, just saying HI!!

Welcome!
That is probably about what these scoots are going for, most States, these days.
It is a good scooter - you all will enjoy it!
Certain colors are slower than others -, no matter the rider's weight or screen - which color did you get?
Also, I would never say this - but there is a fellow here who always says: "Where's the picture, or it didn't happen?"
Again, I would never say this.
Hmmm? :)
Welcome to the circus.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

Congrats and welcome! She's a great scooter. Mine got a little faster after the first service, with the addition of real motor oil. I think that break-in oil is pretty low quality.

Thanks! Like the OP, I got the Like 200i for my wife...but it seems I'm the one riding it. Then, she went and bought a Vespa 150, white on white Primavera with white "Vespa" top case (it's very, very, feminine). I prefer the Like, but the Vespa engineering is impressive.

If speed is what you are after, I suggest going down hil.  :o

Welcome aboard OP. That's a great price on the Like. You'll find the Like to be a great scooter. I'm coming up on 4 years in late July and loved ever mile I've ridden.
