Hidden puke tube found!
« on: April 12, 2013, 09:22:03 PM »
Found a puke tube on the DT 300i and just found a similar "V tube" on the Like 200i. NOT in the operator's manual and MUST be drained "periodically" or the engine will misfire or stumble. It is just forward of the airbox.

Can you give any details that would help me? What do you do to drain it? What's in it? Just forward of, like an inch? Thx!

It has a spring clip around it holding a plug in the end , remove spring than the plug, drain and replace plug and spring,.       the oil in there is blow by vapors, so is dirty ,. there is a  holding clip on the back of tranny cover for the tube

I wondered what that tube with the plug was for. Thanks for posting this info.

Just forward of the airbox behind (or to the inside of ) the CVT case. Kinda tough to find. It is a clear tube with a black plug held in place with a spring clip. Just twist the black head of the plug and it will come out of the clear tube and dump an emulsion of fuel, oil and other smelly stuff on your hand.
