I have an 19 mm Arreche carb on my kitted 73 cc kymco cobra.  Its been like pulling teeth to actually find a manual choke to stick in it. It seems I have emailed around the word to try and find and no one replies  or if by slight chance  they do  its not helpful with anything that will tell me if it fits, comes with  everything I need, the needle  etc.  I simply want to lean over to turn it off or on . My carb is fully exposed.

Super 8 / stalls 10 seconds after start ???
« on: February 01, 2020, 09:24:19 PM »
What is the reason for this ? I am having big problems to just start normally. I have checked for air leaks , I have the carb adjusted almost all the way rich , I've tried adjusting the rich /lean jet to no avail fixing the problem. I checked the auto choke , not sure if it is bad or not. I pull it all the way off and sometimes it does then idles ( but that  I don't think gives an answer because it is letting both air and fuel when its off ) and I let it warm up and put it back in. I purchased a new one and just stuck it  in the hole( which would allow it be rich as should be upon starting ) incase the old one has the needle broken down causing a lean mix. I installed it but nothing changed.
Something to add , maybe help with this mystery is that when the weather is back being hot or warmer ( I live in Florida ) it starts and idles fine. I have a pod air filter so nothing would be blocking the air I don't think .

Super 8 / Starter bendix issues
« on: November 30, 2019, 11:37:35 PM »
So I recently have been having problems with scooter starting  that is once you go to turn it over , it turns barely barely once or twice turns slow and that's  NOT enough to start it . It will kick start . So I just did some tests . Ive tried 2 new batteries and jump box , same problem . I inspected  the starter gear live with button pushed and it turns super strong and button is good  . I added the Bendix and it kicks like a mule , strong.  I've had my cvt cover off a ton lately for other issues . Im wondering if I lost a washer that is supposed to go behind the Bendix to push it out further   ?   Does any one know if a washer goes in front or behind the Bendix  ?
Thanks !

Super 8 / Need help finding Repsol 2t
« on: November 27, 2019, 06:18:28 AM »
I've used this 2 stroke oil for many years all of a sudden can't find it. Can anyone send me a link to purchase in the states for REPSOL 2T COMPETITION 2-STROKE OIL ?
I need a completely fully synthetic  since my scoot revs so high , apparently lots of fakes out there claiming synthetic and are not.

Thank you.

Super 8 / I have an exhaust tightening problem....sigh
« on: November 23, 2019, 02:34:29 AM »
 :'( :'(

So I have  been trying to tackle this for about 2plus months to no avail  :'(  So frustrating .

Ok so just to be clear on what I have is a Kymco Cobra racer 2t kitted with the 73 bbk , was kitted down at Moped Hospital in Key West many years ago.   Any way long story on this situation , but all of a sudden I cant seem to get my exhaust pipe to seal !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ????????????? I've now have had it off and on probably more then a dozen times in the last 2 months trying different gaskets , sealers , just bought whole new pipe and STILL loud ( I know what it should sound like ) . My plug was showing super hot ( because of this leak apparently ) so I don't ride it far , just local errands because air I guess leaking into exhaust port when letting off throttle .  With the new pipe on today and the finally found the correct Oring gasket it was a tiny bit quieter , I think because of how this different brand of pipe has a small section of pipe protrudes past the flange catching the gasses better. So less backfiring but still loud not right. Part 2. Recently seemingly out of the blue when I would check the studs to see if  were tight they always seemed to keep turning. A few weeks ago I was riding decided to get under scooter and tighten because it was loud and they seemed loose. I turned them and snapped it off. I got it back home  and was able to get both studs out fairly easy. I decided to go with bolts as someone suggested on another scooter forum .  When I screwed them in with out exhaust pipe or gaskets  , they go all the way no problem and tighten , do not budge one MM. With old exhaust on the last few weeks its like there are gremlins in scooter, I would tighten the bolts , run it for a minute or even just sit over night and you could turn the bolts once again , and again and again ,and again. Ride  around the block or just sit for a little while and you could tighten them even more. I am so annoyed , it feels hopeless.  Does anyone on here have any ideas ?????
Thank you.
