General Discussion / Electrical questions
« on: February 15, 2011, 04:07:05 PM »
hi. can someone please tell me what to do with all these old bulbs and wires and such? i think i finally got them all even the ones my big brother ripped off and scattered about everywhere, but now i need to make room to work on putting things back together the way they should be and the way i want them to be on my scoot. i can't post pics because someone messed up the memory card setup on my machine, but i am going to double check to make sure i didn't miss anything.

it's hard to work some days because i have to wait for folks to leave the house, and then usually a kindly neighbour will stop by with food, or to pick up my trash, or laundry even and then stay at length to play with the dog i rescued from an abusive situation. other days the man near the corner from the neighbourhood watch group tries to stop by and chat. i usually try to meet him outside before he gets to the door and rouses the dog (ThaT dog likes EVERYbody and everyTHING better me, lol) and tells me stories about all the strange vehicles in the neighbourhood or about the folks talking on their cell phones on the one corner where there is a decent signal (That's for everybody but Me anyway, Where as i have To walk a mile or more to get a Decent signal, lol.)

anyway i thought maybe some friends here might have some suggestions for what to do with those old things while the house is empty and i'm free to move around the way i want. they all seem to be in working order so far. is there some place to take them to be recycled?

sorry for all the questions. i just really want to make things right again as quickly as possible. i see now that some folks tried to answer my questions before and I'm Sorry i missed so many replies. that button at the top of the forum isn't working properly on my account for some reason to get to the unread topics since last visit so i can't read the replies all together at the same time for each issue or topic.

Thanks.

General Discussion / Turn Signal Bulbs
« on: February 11, 2011, 01:47:25 PM »
does anyone know - if this is the correct part number for my front left turn signal bulb? or is there another one I need? thanks all. it's been fun learning about all these part numbers even if I can't seem to get any answers over the telephone and don't understand all of the letters or words in these difficult to read manuals.

General Discussion / Posting Pics on the Forum From Your Computer
« on: December 02, 2010, 09:54:37 PM »
When you start a new topic or reply to a post you will see something similar to what is in Pic 1 here. Directly below the box you type your message in you will see the words "Additional Options..." When you click on the + (plus sign) you will expand the menu listing those Additional Options and your screen will show something similar to what is in Pic 2 here. To post a photo you will need to click on the button marked "Browse" and this will take you to the most likely place on your computer where pictures are stored. If your pictures are stored somewhere else like your desktop or a different folder you will be able to navigate to them from there. Select the picture you want to use and click "Open". When you click "Post" your pictures will be inside of your posted message below the words you typed.

You can also select other options. If you want to see how your pic and message turned out you can select "Return to this topic" before clicking on "Post". Then you will be brought right back to the thread you were posting in and you will be able to see your message and pic. Then you will be able to edit it if it did not turn out the way you hoped.

General Discussion / Rainy Weather - Got Any Good Safety Tips
« on: November 26, 2010, 02:47:35 PM »
I wanted to go pick up some things at the pharmacy today, but when I looked outside the weather and wet roads don't look so good. If I decide to go out anyway, what should I look out for? Anything I can do to stay safer on the wet roads?

How do you take the lens cover off of the turn signal to change the bulb? I didn't see the answer in the manual.

Technical | How To / Torque Specs - kfg-m or kg-m? What's it all mean?
« on: November 24, 2010, 09:10:27 AM »
I noticed in the manual that some of the standard torque specs are given in a measurement of kfg-m and some of them say kg-m.

My torque wrench says 'kilometer meters' on it. I don't see a 'g' or an 'f' anywhere.

What are these abbreviations referring to? And where can I go online to covert both of them since the manual seems to alternate between the two? Does anybody know?
