What do you wear on a daily basis?

I always wear a full face helmet unless the temps reach over 90+ then it's a 3/4. I always wear a fell safety reflecter vest like at a construction site and long pants. Most times I wear riding gloves but not all rides.

What do you always wear?

Also I have a fully insulated jumper for winter months that I haven't tried out yet.

3/4 helmet unless its cold or raining then I use full face. I use hoodies with armor in them or a motocross vest under hoodie. I also have leather coat for cold and kevlar pants or fire hose pants for cold. I know its bad, but I ride with shorts in the summer and my boots are just doc martins or chuck taylor's. I will also ride with no jacket in the summer, but it does get over 100F here.

... at all times if I'm going on a highway, or into Philly. Around  my town I'll go jacket-less if it's 65 or higher. In the winter I have a heavy leather coat, and I plan to purchase a good balaclava this winter.

I generally wear pants if going on a heavy or long trip, but will do shorts for around town, or if it's really hot.

Sneakers or heavy shoes/boots, but never sandals -- like my toes too much. Gloves if not too hot, but lately I've gone without as it's easier to get to my
money at the bridge tolls.

If it's raining, snowing, or below freezing I won't take the scooter out. Too dangerous.

I'm not understanding this plainly. What is the law in NJ to wear a helmet with reflective tape if it's not full face or every helmet has to have reflective tape on it? I may be breaking the law and not know it.

Down here on the South Carolina coast most people dress similar to this except without the helmet.

I always wear 3/4 helmet ( I am actively looking for a modular helmet for the fall/winter).  I also always wear an armored jacket - mesh for the hot days and a leather/textile one for spring/fall/winter.  I also always wear padded gloves and boots.  I also always wear pants, preferably jeans.  I should probably look into something with knee and hip protection, but haven't done so.  I just don't trust the cagers around here. 

I used to ride dirt bikes many years ago - and that taught me that at some point you are going down - and I am not into pain.

NJ has a DOT approved helmet law (one of the few that does), and I believe before they did away with mandatory motorcycle inspections riders were required to have (I think) a 2 inch square of reflector tape on on the back left and right side of their helmets. My description was bad phrasing on my part. I meant it's the law to have a helmet, and the part about the tape was meant as an additional description.

NJ has a DOT approved helmet law (one of the few that does), and I believe before they did away with mandatory motorcycle inspections riders were required to have (I think) a 2 inch square of reflector tape on on the back left and right side of their helmets. My description was bad phrasing on my part. I meant it's the law to have a helmet, and the part about the tape was meant as an additional description.

Hmmm, my newly purchased full face helmet doesn't have any "stickers" on it. It does have a design and in those 2 spots you mention the design is different so maybe those spots do reflect, I'll have to shine a light on it and find out. If not I'll look into the law.

My full upper body reflector vest should compensate for the helmet, if you can't see me your blind! Thanks fo rthe reply though either way.

Full face helmet, armored jacket, gloves, steel toe work boots that cover my ankles, usually I also wear overpants with knee armor, but I will sometimes wear kevlar jeans instead.

I'm not sure if the reflector tape is still a mandatory law, and it's doubtful that you'll be pulled over for not having it. I think it applied to having it on your helmet during inspections -- which are now suspended due to budget cuts. Still, I think it's a good idea, especially if you're riding at night without a reflector vest or jacket. Once heard a story of a person thrown from their bike in a crash at night and was unconscious in the road. A car came along and ran over his head.

the new law that seems to be everywhere else hasnt been implimented in the UK yet. i wear an armoured jacket that has silver reflective strips on the shoulders and chest area, gloves, full face helmet, trainers and a rough lookin pair of trackies that i wear over my work trousers. if im not going to work then i wear a thick pair of jeans.

Hear that 08? If you don't have a sticker on your helmet, your head will be crushed by a car and your brains splattered around!!!
