Heating a LIKE200i
« on: December 14, 2017, 01:32:51 AM »
Tried to warm up this way a few years ago on a cold old day.....

It didn't work. Didn't bring enough kindling & the fire died before I could get warm.

Also tried warming leather gloves on hot muffler - but that smelled like a goat cooking.

Then Santa brought me battery heated gloves!

Or, or....I could have taken the car.

How do the gloves work?  Probably would never get cold enough here for me to worry about but curious to how good they work.

Any temp below 55 F or so, I  put them on under my leather gauntlets. 3 heat settings, very rarely use the hottest setting. It is so nice to ride and not think about my hands any longer!
BTW - tried bar muffs 1st. Hated them...didn't dare take hands out in traffic settings - very awkward getting hands back in in a split second as is necessary in traffic stop & go.
If I  toured for hours, might try them again.
These battery/cuffed heated GERBING liners
put an end to cold hands worry - my #1 cold riding concern!
No drain on small scooter battery....no wres attaching me to scoot, etc. Liners are self contained.

Cute picture, The more you talk about those glove liners, the more I think I should get some. I've never hugged the exhaust pipes, but I have held my gauntlets open so the hot air could warm 'em up and my fingers got the feeling back in them in the process. You know, some times I wonder just how smart we are. I mean, we buy a 200 or three hundred thousand dollar house with central air and heat and then go out in freezing weather to see how much cold we can take..go figure
