« on: November 01, 2017, 10:29:41 PM »
have a 2012 Kymco MXU 500i and would like to check the spark plug.  i can see it under the left fender, but how do you remove it? does not seem to be any clearance...do i have to remove something first? owners manual is NO help.

you have to undo the plastic surrounding the fuel tank and then remove the tank. unless it is fouled I would leave it alone

I just tried to check spark plug in MXU 400 and realised that I will need jointed sparkplug tool to remove it. There is no room for "normal" sparkplug tools. Another option is to remove the fuel tank.

Guys, unless your 500 and 400 are way different than the 450 it is fairly easy to remove the tank plastic and fuel tank. You may very well need to check valve clearance anyways.
