Mounting satnav.
« on: September 02, 2017, 03:50:22 PM »
Has any one found a mounting for a satnav suitable for the DT300?

The bars do not have any nice round bits for attachment and I am sure a suction mount on the screen would not be safe.

You could try clamping it to the side mirror legs, which mine are attached next to the brake fluid reservoirs.

Have you checked out RAM mounts? They have a bunch of different options

Velcro?

Have you tried Velcro really? Is it strong enough and stable enough that the satnav does not shake to much and become unreadable?

Ivor, hopefully, there will be a picture here to show what I did to mount an Etrex 20 to my DT300i. Look for "GPS Mount" post by me. There is a HUGE picture of my mount posted by Stig.

I have now mounted my Tomtom Rider using a mirror mounting kit as in the photos.
