After market air filter
« on: December 17, 2017, 10:32:21 PM »
Hey can anybody help me out here? I just picked up a 2001 Kymco 50cc super fever. A rat chewed up the whole entire air cleaner box. So I put an aftermarket K&N Filter Style on it. I'm having a problem it only wants to run with the air screw turned in all the way. It will not start with the electric start. But a fires up first kick with the kickstarter. Do I need to Jet this carb? And is that the problem. I know on all of my four wheelers you need to. Thank you

Mr. Paul

Clean the carb jets because this scooter evidently sat for a long time. You need to replace the K&N filter with the original airbox to get the air/fuel mixture correct. Hopefully you have what was left of the original box. I would try to patch the original air box. And you need a new battery. You can find replacement parts here;
