New rider with new-to-me Agility 125
« on: August 22, 2017, 06:34:28 PM »
Hello All,

Just picked up a 2007 Agility 125 last week from the original owner.  4,300km.  Seemingly well maintained.  This is my very first two-wheeler, and I love it!  I've already put almost 120 miles on it in less than a week, taking it on an 85 mile round trip.  I lurked around my local dealers for the past several months looking for what I wanted, and this thing fit the bill perfectly.  For $700, I didn't think I could go wrong.

I'm really getting comfortable with the way it handles.  One question, that I'm sure has been asked an answered: I have a pretty strong shimmy at 45-50+ MPH.  To me, and my automotive background, it feels like a tire is out of balance.  Everything else is tight.  Tires are original Cheng Shin (sp?) that are otherwise healthy (no dry-rot, plenty of tread), cheap as they are.

Tire(s) out of balance?

Thanks all!  Looking forward to some great riding!

Balance the easy way if both tires and wheels straight and round: put 1 to 2 oz of BBs inside each tire. Works like a charm!
