Well, I went Italian.....
« on: July 29, 2017, 11:52:55 PM »
After much,... well - a whole lot of thinking & studying. I decided to replace a 400cc Suzuki, not with a 280cc Honda - but with a 155cc Italian.
Visited my very busy local Vespa dealer today. He half-un-crated a 2018 Piaggio Liberty 150 S so I could look it over & sit on it.
My interest was down to the white 150 or the red 150S. (don't buy a scooter color you don't like - like I did with the Burgman. In my defense - they were all lousy colors for a few yrs)
Have spoken with 4 dealers in a 75 mile radius. There were issues with the color and/or their price (across a $500 range!) - so, I made a deposit locally on the red S model, & at a very fair price.

My wife's on-board with this purchase. I told her after a few weeks I'll look like this, again.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

Red is the fastest color.

Actually I think according to the Police it's yellow but red is more common. :-)

I'll bet the Like won't be making as many trips to your favorite little coffee shop after you take delivery. Those Italian scooters are very quite, so I know you made the right chose. Will be looking for your write-ups and pictorials about it. I love red. Congratulations Tom.

Great choice Stig, & I agree on color.  Get something you're at least OK with (and yeah, Burgmans haven't had any good colors in years..)

Personally I loved the blue, but the red's nice, & even the white on those is OK.
Great bike, & welcome to the world of the big wheel scoots.

That is a sharp looking scooter. I like the styling and color.
I bought my wife a Scarabeo 200 about 3-4 years ago. It has been a good dependable scoot.
If you have dealer support close by, that is a real plus.

Excellent choice, Stig! I know that Mr. Paul will join me in saying that if it is anything like a People 150, you will absolutely love how it rides and corners. Have a blast, and when you stop riding for a second, give us the full run-down on it - we'll be waiting with anticipation.
