Yeah, you could do things with those tanks you could only dream about with others! She was like a fat girl who was really light on her feet! An' there ain't nothin' like a radial engine idling or at full song!

You are fortunate to have spent time with the Beaver, and radial engines...
But you knew that !
Color me green with envy.

I kinda got an aircraft tale...  probably not good as you are able to tell, but this little feller was kinda involved...

I let my Like200i idle for at least 40 secs and take off.   It never really hits over 35mph and I ride it about two miles to work and two back .    I purchased it for the commute to work.   Living here in Texas, it's hot and I don't ride it hard.   Once in a while I'll get up to higher speeds and longer rides but that is maybe three times a month.

Sorry for not introducing myself sooner gents.   Been lurking around for a bit.   My name is David and I purchased my Like last year brand new and love it!

Welcome David !
It's  a great commuter scooter - exactly why I purchased mine 4yrs ago.
I was 3.5 miles from work, but scooter was so much fun I always took the long way through town, adding 4 miles ea. way - except for the times I'd  start looping the blocks!
Add a picture of your LIKE200i if possible?
And please keep posting your experiences with your Kymco.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.
