2004 mongoose 250 CVT clutch noise

Just purchased a 2004 mongoose 250 that has a clicking or rattling noise in the CVT when you let off the gas and coast.  Engages perfectly.  Same noise can be heard when driving in reverse without coasting.  Ideas?
