s200 Top Milage
« on: May 11, 2017, 10:04:56 PM »
Hey Folks,

Fresh meat to the Kymco scene but I've been looking at a couple used s200's and was wondering how long these bad boys typically run? Given my research it seems like most 4strokes top out around 10-15k but wanted to get some veteran feedback.

Any thoughts greatly appreciated! Thanks ya'll

I believe that 10 to 15k miles is a very low estimate. Maybe on a Chinese scooter. A properly maintained gy6 engine should get at least 30 to 50k or more miles.  The oil changes are the most important factor, of course.

I concur sir. 10-15k for a 3k+ scooter would be very poor value. Love though that when we're buying there's tons of very low mileage scooters for sale like my 05 BW I picked up in December with 900 miles on it. My previous 2012 PS200 had 150 miles. With such low mileages these scoots will last us a long time provided they're properly cared for as you say Mr. Paul.
