First post, light question.
« on: March 02, 2017, 01:23:52 AM »
Hello everyone!  I've been lurking around for a few days now, and this is my first post on the forum. My nephew just got a 2013 agility 125.
 Here he is with it

We are both super stoked to start a build with this little scooter and before this is over I'm sure I will find myself one as well!

Plans so far are simple

Loose the graphics and Plastidip all the blue.

Swap the bulbs with leds

H4 conversion on the headlight.

So within the few days of owning this thing the headlight blew out. I managed to find a ba20d bulb from a ktm dealer down the street...and it seemed to be the only bulb in town.

Today while I was swapping it out I noticed that he had 2 921 bulbs in the headlight housing that weren't working. So I threw in a couple of leds and still nothing.

I put the halogen bulbs back in and we just couldn't find out how to get them to turn on.

Does anyone know if this is a common issue or if these things have electrical gremlins that would cause this issue?

Thanks everyone!!

(Not for the 1st time i wish our avatar indicated our country.)

What country are you?
Kymco disconnected  certain front lights on my LIKE200I  to meet US laws. Perhaps your lights are simply factory disconnected to meet your regional restrictions.
Hopefully  a fellow owner will chime  in here soon for your question.
Welcome to you both!

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

Thanks Stig. I am in the U.S.
Hmmm I didn't think about a factory disconnect. Did you ever get the lights they left unplugged to work? I wonder if there is a difference between the u.s. light module and the euro.

Well I ended up calling kymco customer service and Stig you were right! Those 921 bulbs are designed for countries with day time running lamps. They are simply disconnected somewhere in the harness. The system doesn't use a light module, it is straight power, and very straight forward. I can either tap into the headlights straight to the 921 bulbs or trace the wires from the harness back to the battery using a volt meter to find where the missing power wire.

Shew!!!!! Now if only a could get a wiring diagram from the u.s. and from Canada lol.

If you plan to do much servicing on your scooter....it might be worth it to you to obtain a service manual from www.cyclepedia.com - if they have one for your scoot.
I use their manual to work on my Kymco LIKE200i.
Wiring schematic  is in the manual.

Sweet thanks man.

I found these on Google a little while ago.

Edit:
After looking at them uploaded on my tapatalk app you can't really make anything out.

You have a great bike. I own a 2012 Kymco Agility 125cc myself. I would get a large trunk for the bike. Mine is large enough for my modular helmet.
