Thanks for taking us along, Dan.
Truck heat IS nice - and you don't have to gear up, or freeze your corneas.
Rode in 70's yesterday here in sw Ohio, snow arriving in 3 hours.
Got all my scoot servicing done while plastic was warm.
Best of luck with your scooter! Please do keep us posted.

Thanks Tom. On the way down to Houston found the coolest eatery in Livingston called the Whistle stop Cafe and had an awesome breakfast with Deb. Delores, our 72 year old server made it super special and when I told her she was a perfect waitress she had me stand up and gave me the biggest hug and kiss. Don't you know she got a fat tip. All along the way yesterday we met the nicest people and engaged in real conversation beyond the usual chit chat. Have to say it though Houston is one tough hombre to drive in.

Made it to Tejas Motorsports by noon and got the trailer unloaded and checked into the scooter hospital. Funny, they even used a tag for the key and bike that reminded me of checking into a hospital and took nearly as long. Nice place but saw no Kymco's on the showroom floor. They say they're a Kymco dealer though. Decided to take a little longer route home and stopped in Nacogdoches, the oldest city in Texas incorporated in 1716. Found a cutesy place for lunch on the downtown square, Dollies an art deco throwback to the 50's. Dollie greeted us at the door and served up one of the best burgers we've had in a long time. Deb and I browsed antigue shops until they all started looking the same. Found an off beat bookstore and got my son a book written by a local who claims alien abduction. My prize though was Empire of the Summer Moon by S.C. Gwynne about Quanah Parker, perhaps the most powerful Indian chief of the Comanches and the rise and fall of their tribe from westward expansion. Left out at 7am and returned at 6:21pm. A most eventful day, wonderful food, incredible people and got the scooter scheduled for it's checkup.

Crazy weather for you guys to swing from the 70's to snow in 24 hours. Wish we would get a dusting here so I can watch some of our dogs reactions to snow, something that our younger ones have never seen

Got a call on Thursday from the dealership that has my scooter down near Houston. Says that it needs an air tube replacement and an air/vacuum line to the carb.  Quoted me a price of 235.00 to fix which included tearing it down to diagnose problem. So far that's all they know until those parts are replaced. They had to order parts so bike is still about 200 miles south of me.

Called service dept this morning as they're still waiting on parts. Can't wait to ride it again as we're in the prime of Spring here in East Texas🌞.

Got a call today from the Kymco dealer as the parts came in and the scooter is now repaired and ready for pickup. Heading down to Houston in the morning to pick up. Huge rain cell down at the Texas Gulf Coast as it will be a wet one. Hopefully I'll get a break and can test ride it so I can see how it runs at WOT. When I bought it I couldn't get it over 60mph so hopefully I can get it up to at least 70-75 so I can ride our state highway to town without riding the shoulder of the road.

We'll we're on the road and about half way there. Stopped at the Whistle Stop Cafe in Livingston for breakfast. So far no rain but I brought rain gear for my test drive.

Got the scooter and just in time before the rain hit and got a test ride. Man is this BW fast. Got it easily to 75 indicated and still had more to go. Yehaw. Headed back from Houston with scooter in tow. I think this is the first time it ever got wet from rain.

Sorry, I'm a bit late seeing this but I'm presently on vacation and don't have access to my invoice. I do recall they replaced the air box assembly between the air filter and carb. If you still need further info, I'll be back home in a few weeks.

Yes it is made by Keihin model CVK30 made to Kymco's specs so no aftermarket.  50mm intake 30mm to engine.
