Scooter Died and won't start
« on: May 19, 2016, 08:55:13 PM »
A few weeks ago, I was riding my People s200 and it seemed to be just fine, then suddenly, the motor cut out and the bike coasted to a stop. I pulled it off of the road and tried to start it, but all I got was a 'click', as if the battery was dead. I doubted that THAT was what was wrong, but I took it home and made sure the battery was fully charged. Again, all I get is a click. All of the lights and dash lights come on and the battery is fully charged. Does anyone have any ideas what might have happened?

Did you use the kick-start lever, and perform basic troubleshooting to verify fuel flow, spark, and acceptable cylinder compression?  There is an abundance of YouTube how-to videos for GY6 type scooter engines.

Based on previous postings, you have male-unit resources with mechanical aptitude . . what is their diagnosis?

Check the fuses and wires. Simple things first.

Pretty sure the motor is seized up.  Bought a different scooter (same thing) and have moved on to new problems... ::)
