My bike kills out when put in firSt or second gear. Help please.

Just bought a new battery cause the old one has been dead for awhile. The bike has been sitting for the last year and a half. Bike starts up. Revs fine. Stays on. I can hold the clutch and it stays running. But when I try to put it into gear. it dies out. First or second.

There was just a thread here on an MXU that cut out with the neutral light. The fault was the brake switch.

Try disconnecting your Clutch switch in the lever, and see if that stops the problem.
