Sounds about right for an all stock s200. If you are open to it, I have a few ways to drastically improve the top speed. http://www.drowsports.com/taida-gy6-camshaft-t100/
Dr. Pulley variator and sliders. These things and a good solid tune (Valves good, new spark plug, good oil, tire pressure good) Should get you close to 70mph GPS. My Girlfriends S200 has a custom exhaust, a12 cam, 30mm carb, and sliders and hits 80mph indicated all day long.

2001 "Yamaha" Zuma AKA MBK Booster; MHR OverRange, Dellorto 19mm BHBG, Polini "big" intake, RS-3 Rear shock, Stock cylinder.

Little work = little gains. The fist step would be to order the Dr. Pulley Variator with some 11-12g sliders
http://www.amazon.com/Dr-Pulley-GY6-Variator-Kit/dp/B007PV9E1I
the sliders are 18mmX14mm and I've had good luck around 11-12g with a mostly stock engine. Check that your tire pressure are around 30psi fr and 35psi rear, higher than in the owners manual but you will see slightly better top speed with this. The camshaft is fairly easy to install, most shops should only charge about an hour labor to put it in and you will see HUGE gains with this.

Did it have it's first valve check performed? I would do that right away if its got around 1000mi. Great scoot man, I love the S200 and it's a shame they stopped importing such a good machine. One thing to consider in the next couple 1000mi, the stock tires SUCK on the s200, they have a very strange "s" tread pattern that ALWAYS wears funny and causes the bike to feel bad. Consider finding a tire you like and swapping even before those stock tires are worn, it'll feel much better.

All the service was don't last week on the scoot and the tires are kenda(something like that) but i'm sure they are a cheap brand. It does ride nice and i am enjoying myself on some nice rides. I wouldn't mind having at least a 5 mph increase in speed

I hate to say this but if you wanted 65 you bought the wrong scooter. The top speed of the s200 is well documented here and you are on the high end right now. Tires and a tunes not gonna get you 65.

By the time you spend the money to get the speed you want you should have bought a bigger scoot.
That's if you really need the extra MPH.

I only stated 5 mph more that's all. I have read plenty of time that the top speed was around 55 to 60 mph but hey, even you want a little out of you scooter or motocycle just for the heck of it. I've seen guys with 1400cc bikes and still want more. The style of the people 200 is to my liking so i am pleased with it and plan on having for a long time just like my super 9 (12 years and counting) 8)

Hey you should love that scooter. I had one and it gave me flawless service. I think you'll find it fast enough 99 percent of the time.

Enjoy it and all the best with it.

My friend put 40k KM on doing delivery, then sold it to my cousin and its still going strong. The s200 lasts forever if you take good care of the engine!!!
