Thanks Stig. Thats for sure helpful for many self made mechanics who are not used to work with aluminium parts.
Cheers,
Robo

The Drive Face Nut Torque Value of 93.1 NM /68.7 ft-lb from Cyclepedia might be be (way) too high...
Talked to a Kymco mechanic today and he said probaly 50NM, Maximum 60NM would be fine.
Personally I wouldn´t want to go above 70NM either.

Just as a comparison:

The Kymco Like 50/125 Torque Values allegedly are

Drive face nut       NH12 5.0 - 6.0 kg-m  or  50 - 60 NM
Clutch Outer Nut  NH10 3.5 - 4.0 kg-m  or  35 - 40 NM

The Kymko Dink 200i/125 Torque Values allegedly are

12mm bolt and nut 5.0 - 6.0 kg-m  or  50 - 60 NM
14mm bolt and nut         7.0 kg-m  or  70 NM

I´m still unsafe here, but maybe B&L can and will bring light into darkness.  ;)

Nobody wants to come this nut loose of course  :o, but too tight might cause other problems (crankshaft thread, bearing pressure crankshaft, etc.).  :-\

Hello Robo,
I somewhat agree......when installing sliders and a new belt, and de-glazing my clutch pads ....I have a new torque wrench - but felt the figures were too - something for my taste.
So, I just gave it a nice snug tightening with the T. wrench while staring at the size of that nut and shaft and using 40+ years VW-wrenching experience. I did use new nuts - cheap insurance.

Saw this and wondered about the rear axel nut. Manual say 120 Nm

Thats ok? and here also correct to use loctite?

Kindly Jesper

Yes, this values seem to be a little bit high.
See attached schedule for torques on our Kymcos in general.
120 NM is fine for this axle, can't overdo.
Little bit blocker cannot harm, but not really necesserary.
Happy and safe scootering, Ruffus
