Kymco seat compability
« on: August 30, 2014, 09:21:28 PM »
I am looking for a reasonably priced seat to modify for my like 200 so I can return to stock if necessary. Does anyone know if the people 200 seat will fit? They both have the same part number of 77200.

In a perfect world same part# means same part. But I'd verify it by calling a dealer, pics or some source before buying. Have you tried ebay, just enter kymco like 200i and everything associated should pop up.

You will be awarded a 50th Anniversary T-Shirt, Hat and Shock Wrench if you have discovered a stock swap for the LIKE seat!
I stared hard at the guts of a LIKE 200i and the LIKE 50 on the dealer's floor to discover that they were the same seats - but NOT the same under-seat buckets, before buying a used LIKE 50 seat & bucket on eBay. Tossed the bucket in the recycle and rebuilt the 50 seat for my 200i. Worked perfectly.

Most dealer's will not have a clue re. anything KYMCO, but you might be able to stand next to one each...and take some measurements to see if the swap is possible.
There is a thriving market in Asia for LIKE seat rebuilds....
Too bad none are offered here.

Hi, new member, new to Kymco.
Just bought a 2012 Kymco Like 50 2T and the previous owner has butchered the seat. Would any seat with the part no prefix 77200 fit mine or is it dependant on the under seat bucket?

You can't swap seats, none of them will cross match.
Take it off and bring it to a auto/boat upholstery shop. Try auto first far cheaper.
This is a fact of life on two wheels. The seats suck.

You can watch for a LIKE seat on eBay....the 50cc and the 200i LIKE's are the same seat....no others fit.
I think I paid about $40 for one on ebay - from a 50cc LIKE, and put it on my LIKE200i. It is the same seat.
