Bike has the optional Kymco executive seat on it and I will also include the stock seat. Comes with 29L trunk. Needs absolutely nothing. Capable of speeds up to 80 mph. I purchased this bike from the original owner 5 year ago with 100 miles on it. Price is $1600 negotiable. Please use the email link to contact me.

General Discussion / Re: Veterans may shop online at the PX

I signed up this week. I also signed up for year round (not just special holidays) 10% veterans discount at Lowes. If you have misplaced your DD214, you can go to the nearest VA Affairs office and they can request a copy for you, or I believe you can now request it online yourself. Took awhile to find mine, but I finally did. I actually have two separation dates....one from active duty and one from the Army Reserve. The only date that worked was my active duty discharge date.

To protect my legs from the cold, I wear fleece lined jeans. I get them at Tractor Supply for $35. I've already got them on today as the weather here in NJ is supposed to plummet today/tonight.

Nice setup as well! You've got a much bigger trunk on your scoot than I have on my GV. Normally, my trunk serves my needs fine, but a bigger one would definitely be nice if I do more of these "scamping" adventures. Thanks for the pic!!!

General Discussion / Grand Vista with Chase Harper Saddlebags....
« on: October 12, 2017, 02:36:24 PM »
On Monday morning, I'm leaving for a three day scootering/camping getaway and I needed some additional storage capacity to bring all my camping gear/clothes/tools with me. Several years ago, I was given these Chase Harper soft sided saddlebags from my former neighbor when I bought his BMW motorcycle. In order to mount these bags to my Grand Vista, I had to install a couple of extra grommets to the bags. I then attached the bags to the grab rails with heavy duty zip ties. They look and function beautifully. Between the saddlebags, trunk and under seat storage, I now have plenty of room to bring all my stuff.

Use a t-handle screwdriver instead of a conventional one. You'll get better torque on the screw head and it won't strip it.

I'm sure I speak for everyone here when I say to please stay safe and get to higher ground if you can. This hurricane looks devastatingly bad. Be safe!!!! Material possessions can always be replaced. Lives can't!

Yes, it's fully charged and ready to go. I put it on a tender today and it went to fully charged status in just a couple of minutes.

Both my 2013 Like 200i's still have their original OEM batteries. I recently bought a brand new battery in the event the original battery on the Like that I use the majority of the time should die on me. I keep all my scooters on Battery Tenders year round, so I'm used to getting 4 or more years from my batteries.  I've been keeping the spare battery under my seat in the event the original goes bad on me while I'm away from home. Would you replace the original battery now or wait until the OEM one dies before replacing it or should I just keep the replacement battery under the seat in the event of an emergency?

That's not the battery cover. The battery is under the seat.

I would check to make sure that a good shot of fuel is pumping from the fuel pump to the motor when you crank it over. To check, detach the hose after the fuel pump and try cranking it over. You should get a nice stream of gas shooting out. You can also look at the inline fuel filter to see if there's any gas in it. I had a similar problem with my 2006 People 250 shortly after I got it. It turned out to be a faulty fuel pump. Been fine ever since.

Today, I mounted a Polk Duo Swimmer BT speaker on my Grand Vista. I mounted this one to the RAM mount that's screwed into the brake reservoir. Sound is excellent and the mount is rock solid.
