Super 8 / Re: Super 8 jet change
« on: October 15, 2019, 01:30:21 PM »
Just get the new exhaust , that sh** will spike the Super 8's performance Heavy , like double the torque from stock exhaust  - and jet it to about 86-88 with the new exhaust.   Exhaust and jetting is huge ,,, maybe throw some  gram Sliders in their.

For jetting , just unscrew and remove airbox first -- then take off Throttle carb cap , gas line , and unbolt the carb. Once unbolted disconnect the e choke --- Flip carb upside down - unbolt bowl.. Maine jet is the one sitting higher  , closer to your face , unscrew it and put in a fatter one. 86-88 for expansion exhaust -- Keep air filter on bike.     JEts to use are 4mm keihin round jets .... stock part # 99101-116 - Jets size # .

Super 8 / october 2019 - current KYMCO super 8 2t Setup - kitted
« on: October 10, 2019, 05:15:34 PM »
 Hey everybody -

I have a kymco super 8 2t here --- kitted with malossi 70 , Tecnigas Next R , STOCK CARB WITH AIRBOX jetted at 98 - NAraku VAriator and 6 gram Sliders..... With the airbox On the stock carb ,  works just fine at a 98 setting.  Sparkplug looks ok - Runs it a bit rich throughout half way throttle ,  but top end likes the 98 -- non adjustable stock needle is stupid - tons of power throughout up to say 50 real mph. Im sure a bigger carb / intake and air filter would get me more but for now its plenty better. TWICE THE ACCELERATION and cruising at 45 is easy.  Im soon to put in a main jet 100 as its getting colder in Massachusetts.

I kept my oil pump , and add an ounceish of 2t Lucas semi synthetic to the fillup. Im only 65 miles in on the kit but so far so good. Trying to properly break it in , stay around 30-35

Super 8 / Re: Upgear kit for 2013 super8-2t

I also am friends with a Mechanic / salesman at Scootertuning.ca and am aware that their are no gear up kits for the SUper 8 2t. It has a unique final drive where the Super 9 and other "kymco" branded Air Cooled gear up kits WILL NOT FIT> ive spoken to stage 6 directly as well about this, inquiring about a discontinued kymco gear up kit for super 9, people, and some others. BUT wont fit a super 8 2t. sh** is lame

my friend, if your only getting 42 mph you have a problem.. Might be your running way to Rich with that 115 main jet,, or something... i have a Super 8 2t with only a 88 main jet, racing exhaust , and variator/Sliders, modded air box.. and i get 47MPH gps verified. 45-46 all day .  My close friend (also member here) has a super 8 2t with the sh**tiest naraku 70cc kit on it, with just a 92 main jet and STOCK EXHAUST modded and welded and get 49mph . he weighs about 230. On mine when i drop down from 88 to 86 it leans it out to where its alittle faster, but to lean. BUT i also tried a 90 in their and it dropped down to 43-44 mph. To big of main jet means sloppy wet combustion , to much gas,,, not enough clean burn.

Super 8 / Re: website to buy a regulator rectifier in Usa??
« on: October 11, 2017, 05:27:13 PM »
kymco parts monster ...... Call them and give them your VIN specific and they will tll you your exact Part #... and then u can buy it from them or get your own elsewhere. But i recently just went through this sh**.... the rectifier on my super 8 needed to be swapped as well. Poor charging and headlight issues. New rectifier regulator fixed this.. i got the part # from them ,, but then found it elsewhere through scooterdynasty

Super 8 / Re: What main jet to use with 72cc and other tips with 72cc
« on: October 11, 2017, 05:23:53 PM »
my Friend,,, if you swapped that WHOLE motor out with a 250cc engine... BUt still had that drive boss you still wouldnt get past 35mph. Despite the speed of your spinning variator,, if it cannot close past a certain point you will never go faster.

Super 8 / Re: 2013 Kymco Super 8 2t Tuning Upgrade Help
« on: October 11, 2017, 05:17:20 PM »
Guys,

Have you got any instructions on how or what to do with the leftover air valve that connects to the stock exhaust as I am replacing with a LeoVince TT exhaust?

Cheers.

Pull the old air Tube that leads up under your seat OUT and save it . Its good for nothing now that you upgrade the exhaust.

Cruise at 38 if derestricted by smooth drive boss in the cvt , and jetted to 82. That stock exhaust with the small blind pipes coming out of it is the biggest restrictor.

Super 8 / Re: Stock Carb
« on: November 26, 2016, 03:53:37 AM »
Yo bro. Its a keihin pb16 car . Good but limited carb. I still use it. Better than a pos 19mm nonamed brand i bought. It has a non adjustable needle which also sucks. Main jet part number is 99101-116 .

« on: October 28, 2016, 01:03:12 PM »
Hey all. I have a new 70cc kit for my super 8... I have a sh**TY 19mm kei hin clone to use with it.. it barely pushes my 50 cc cylinder.. i believe it will damage my new kit. ANYWAYS  , whose running bbk's on their stock carbs? what jet sizes you using?

Super 8 / Re: super8 2t bike update 45mph smooooothly
« on: August 18, 2016, 11:50:06 PM »
I have not done anything to the pilot jet except clean it.
The main jet is all i have to work with -- the needle is
Non adjustable.. Which is a problem for me now.   And the bike is air cooled

Super 8 / Re: Kymco Super 8 - 4 stroke
« on: August 18, 2016, 06:20:00 PM »
hey man, 4 stroke one is harder to tweek to get faster. lighten up them roller weights a gram. up the amount of air going in using free flow filter or drilling holes... and upjet a couple sizes in the carb ......( or get bigger carb),, YOU MUST LEARN YOUR CARBURETOR   - new exhaust will do alittle bit too... not as much as the 2 strokes....

Super 8 / super8 2t bike update 45mph smooooothly
« on: August 18, 2016, 05:55:00 PM »
2013 super8 2t.        Stock carb jetted at 86 (slightly lean throughout but perfect WOT) - stock air box, snorkel removed.   NAraku standard variator, 7.5 grams. gates belt 2mm slightly longer than stock, Tecnigas q tre exhaust.. The exhaust and variator, with perfect running jet size gets me to 45mph now.... with heavy 7.5 weights the takeoff isnt explosive (like it was when i had 4.5 grams) BUT it allows me to live over 40 mph comfortably, and still have a range of smooth acceleration and power up in the high mph... the 88 main jet makes for a nicer richer mid range, but at WOT it runs rich and gurgle's -- it didnt Wine up like it does with the 86.......88 main jet brought me to 43 ,,, and sounded literally like it was gargling down gas. 86 = fine. Stock clutch completely,, I have torque spring and clutch springs but i dont need them in their yet. the mix screw, idle and throttle cable are all as tight and tuned as possible. I have a 20mm Kymco super 8 Intake manifold, gasket, spacer and a 19mm no name brand 2t carb off ebay.. Im going to see what the bigger stuff can do.. but 45 mph with stock 50cc cylinder and carb and air box.
