Meticulously maintained 2009 Kymco Grand Vista scooter 250. 8,145 miles. Looks and runs like new. Not a scratch on this bike. Bike has the optional Kymco executive seat on it and I will also include the stock seat. Comes with 29L trunk. Needs absolutely nothing. Capable of speeds up to 80 mph. General Discussion / Grand Vista with Chase Harper Saddlebags....

On Monday morning, I'm leaving for a three day scootering/camping getaway and I needed some additional storage capacity to bring all my camping gear/clothes/tools with me. Several years ago, I was given these Chase Harper soft sided saddlebags from my former neighbor when I bought his BMW motorcycle. In order to mount these bags to my Grand Vista, I had to install a couple of extra grommets to the bags. I then attached the bags to the grab rails with heavy duty zip ties. They look and function beautifully. Between the saddlebags, trunk and under seat storage, I now have plenty of room to bring all my stuff.

General Discussion / Batteries...To replace or not to replace....

Both my 2013 Like 200i's still have their original OEM batteries. I recently bought a brand new battery in the event the original battery on the Like that I use the majority of the time should die on me. I keep all my scooters on Battery Tenders year round, so I'm used to getting 4 or more years from my batteries.  I've been keeping the spare battery under my seat in the event the original goes bad on me while I'm away from home. Would you replace the original battery now or wait until the OEM one dies before replacing it or should I just keep the replacement battery under the seat in the event of an emergency?

Rather than getting a bluetooth helmet to hear my tunes, I decided to go in a different direction. I mounted my Polk Swimmer Duo Speaker to the windshield mounting hardware on my Like 200. The sound is amazing. I can even hear it at highway speeds! These bluetooth speakers can be found on Amazon for around $30. I also use it when I go to the beach. I attach it to my umbrella and the sound is unbelievable. It's awesome riding around with my music now. Makes riding by myself much more enjoyable. When you want to charge it, you just unscrew it from the base and bring it inside your house to charge it using any USB port.

People 250 / Coolant leaking from top of overflow reservoir....

My 2006 People 250 started spewing/leaking coolant yesterday from the top of the overflow reservoir. No changes/additions have been made to the coolant level since I've owned the bike for the last 4 years. When the bike is warmed up, the level is up to the full line on the overflow bottle. Other than this leak, the bike runs perfectly fine. Any ideas?

The owner's manual calls for a 12V 9AH replacement battery. The original battery is model #GTX-9BS. Almost all of the batteries I have found online that cross reference to a GTX-9BS say they have 8AH. Will the 1AH difference between batteries be an issue?

I picked up this just like new 2014 Like 200 yesterday for only $1300. She only has a little over 200 miles on her. I bought it for my older brother who just sold his Honda Shadow 1100. He test rode one of my Like 200s last week and fell in love with it, so he wanted one for himself. Another scooter convert!

Aside from the spectacular scenery during the 75 mile ride through Warren and Hunterdon counties and the E. LIKE 200i / Like 200 Drive Belt Replacement Video/Tutorial?

Is there a good video or tutorial on this service procedure? The Kymco Like 200 service manual isn't the greatest on this subject. Also, what plastic body bits have to be removed? Any special tools involved like flywheel pullers?

Sorry if this has been asked before, but where is the best place to order and what brand/part # should I order for my Like 200 LX? I hate to go back to the dealer as he is almost an hour away. Is aftermarket better than OEM?

Here's a couple of pics of my garage. I own five Kymcos, two Genuine Buddys and a Vespa. Not pictured are the two dozen vintage mopeds that I store in my neighbor's barn. All of these bikes serve different purposes and have various degrees of sentimental value, particularly the mopeds. Whaddya think....Am I a hoarder or an enthusiast?

Anyone else using this oil in their Kymco scooters? It is highly recommended on the Genuine Buddy and Modern Vespa forums. I just want to be sure that I can safely use it in my Like 200's, Grand Vistas and People 250. I've always used Mobil 1 Synthetic 4T 10w-40 motorcycle oil, but at over $10 a quart, I'm looking for a cheaper alternative.
