General Discussion / Valve Stem Hole Size
« on: May 02, 2018, 06:34:01 PM »
Replacing my rubber stems with aluminum, do you know what size hole is in the rim?

The stems I want are 11.3 MM, do you know if these will fit? If it matters I run a 250 S People.  One catalog list these as Japs are 11.3 and Euro & aftermarket are 8.3 MM.

General Discussion / Low Fuel Light, Oil Light, Headlight Malfunctioning
« on: August 11, 2014, 05:08:45 AM »
I washed the scooter Saturday night and these components are sensitive to getting wet.

Low Fuel Light and oil light stayed on, dimmer than normal but on. The headlight would stay on a few seconds than go off.

These areas must be weak spots on mine (2010 People S 250) and probably other Kymco models.

Before this can be tackled and corrected some questions need answers.

1. Where does this issue arise from?

      A. The point of connection to the sensor/sender?
      B. On the dash circuit board?
      C. Headlight appears to be a digital relay that is apparently not sealed well.

2. How can these be sealed to prevent this?

I put two fans on my scooter overnight, one blew in the dash area and the other over the motor, lucky for me that worked and all is good but I want to prevent this from being an issue. IMO normal elements should not cause issues.

If you are in rain at night and the headlight quits, you are out-of-luck.

Does anyone know how many watts are available for use from this outlet?

I have emailed Kymco USA with no response about 2 weeks ago. Looked on the wiring diagram with no clear consensus to me, could not tell which fuse it runs off of.

I have a 2010 People S 250

Number 3 Shield SOLD & Number 1 shield SOLD, anyone interested in shield #2?

SHIELD #2 SOLD

ALL SHIELDS HAVE SOLD

I ran across these while trying to find something for a customer, didn't know what they fit at first but we have had them and need to move them out. Just have not taken the time to photo these and list anywhere. After realizing the Givi D293St was for a Kymco Xciting 250 - 500 (05-12, may fit 13's but I have no book that says so) and I recently bought a Kymco I would post them here first.

This is the original listing, these Retail for 167.00 we sell these for 149 and some change plus a oversize ship charge as these are large and expensive to ship.

We have 3 windshields in various states of not perfect. Listed below will be the imperfection stated and shown, all have the Givi labels that have not been removed and are New unused windscreens.

1. Damaged in shipping.  SOLD

The first one has a busted ear, if the other ear were cut off, you would never know it was not there.

Price 75.00 plus 18.00 shipping

Busted Ear

2. About a 2 inch crack from the edge. SOLD

The windshield has a small crack, if it were mine I would drill a hole at the end of the crack were it would not run and all would be fine. Might put some epoxy on it or run my sideways cutting dremel the length of the crack like it was supppose to be there.

Any ways, I think the crack is not a stress point and would be covered by the plastic mounting hardware on your scooter, but I have no idea.

Price 75.00 plus 18.00 shipping

The crack, hard to see.

#3 SOLD

3. I don't know why we have this shield, we do not accept installed items back but this one looks like to have been mounted once. Anyway it is in great shape other than it looks like it has been installed from looking at the screw holes, hard to see but it shows.

Price 125.00 plus 18.00 shipping

General Discussion / Top Case
« on: October 18, 2013, 05:25:46 AM »
The red Yamaha Riva I have came with a top case, it's convenient so I put these top cases on the back of my new scooter to see which one I like better.

Hard to tell from the close up night photos which could be the better fit. You're welcome to throw in your opinions.

I will not be using the Givi, I plan to use Shad.

This is the 25 liter

General Discussion / Front Brake & Grip Covers
« on: October 12, 2013, 03:51:18 AM »
On my recently acquired Kymco People S 250  w/300 miles on it the front brake takes more travel than the rear brake. I measured the lever from the grips thinking that might be it, same distance.

Is that by design so someone does not use too much front brake or do I need to look further into this? Not spongy but takes more pull.

Put on these grip covers tonight, just rode down the alley, I think I will like them but I do need more time trying these out. This makes the grips a little over 1 1/2 inches.

People 250 / Kymco Supplied Tools
« on: October 12, 2013, 03:34:07 AM »
Bought my 2010 S 250 with 300 miles on it and the tools are in a Crown Royal bag under the seat.

Is there a place these tools are suppose to be stored out of the way?

People 250 / Info Requested 250 S
« on: October 01, 2013, 04:56:19 AM »
Just purchased a 2010 with 358 miles on it, black and looks new.

A few questions.

How many watts does the Alternator put out?

What is the Cig Socket capacity, what size fuse?

Many of you use synthetic oil or regular petroleum oil?

Are you guys using regular transmission gear oil?

In reality how often do the valves need adjusting or what is your experience?

I did download the owners manual and service manual.
