Agreed...all one can do.
Took the riding course with my youngest son years ago

Bought him armored head to toe, including the armored gloves.
Hiviz as well. Brake light mods, etc
Helped with a nice docile CB500X.....

Hoping his damned R6 stays broken until I'm gone 🙃

Welcome to the forum!

Interesting bike - I remember looking one over in 2013. Solid rear wheel, massive plates to fill the engine spaces, low seat!
"Big" bike look with 250cc. Kymco went their own way with this one!

Nice Landy Stig, I'd love one if only I had the money.  I'm no expert on this latest iteration of the Defender (Euro 6 compliant), but its lineage* traces back to LR's first 1948 vehicle which was in essence a Defender, though they didn't call it that then, just like your Dad's!

According to their website, the base Carpathian breaches £100K by a margin so I can only guess what the one in YS would cost over here - maybe upwards of £130K?

Daughter asked, I guessed, "probably a $100K" The thing looks like a bank vault on wheels.
The owners had parked in front of, and were breakfasting in the very pricy little Sunshine Cafe'. I don't too much mind the prices in there, we ate dinner in there one snowy Xmas eve.....but they installed 10 booths when they had space for maybe 7! Tight quarters!! Stupid tight!

Tend to agree Randy.  Oils & Filters one thing, busting an engine or transmission apart?  Quite another!

Lately I've been taking a nap next to them on the garage floor - roll of paper towels for a pillow - watching the gear oil drain.
We feel closer.
It's nice.

Uncharacteristically blurry photo in amongst that batch Stig - or were you being Artsy?  Looks cosy as eve.
That's a screen shot capture....
Yeah - you're right. It stinks....I was trying to show the depth of this room.

This one I took a while ago.....although I'm still not back to the end of the room here.

Yesterday in Y.S. I was standing near the owner of this beast of a Land Rover....the 'Defender' on the rear was impressive enough to me!. Then he added something about it being the Carpathian version.
That sounded faintly biblical! Which seemed to suit the appearance of the beast!
(I've seen everything from a Bugatti Chiron on down parked in this village)

Neil, what am I looking at here? Rare? Expensive?

and to the original UnderDog Cafe' logo....this was my fav, painted on the wall for years, long gone now.
A dog laying on his tum, smoking a cigarette while reading the newspaper with a steaming cup of coffee nearby....perfectly represented this cafe'....and the village itself!

Wife and daughter joined me for breakfast at the UnderDog Cafe' in Y.S.

This cafe', known as the "village's living room" by the locals, fills up quickly for their breakfasts, pastry and coffee selections.
The 'cloud' ceiling, the VanGogh yellow walls and mismatched furniture  are a hoot! Atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. Patrons with laptops nursing a coffee for hours after the breakfast rush.

Place your order up at the coffee counter....

Their Veggie Scramble and Breakfast Burrito are famouse....while the giant muffins are a wonderful blend of magazines, nuts and berries!

that cup of sauce next to my veg scramble is liquid fire!...and yeah, the girl put too much cream in my coffee. After covid we've lost use of the half/half dispenser.

Think my last ride was March 25th....so it was good to be out riding again.
All three of us came down with covid.....they being somewhat younger, recovered more quickly.
I'm fine, although I can no longer play the violin.

Love the blue/black skies of early mornings.

went close to 3 weeks without coffee...heading down to Dino's!

I thanked him for his efforts on our behalf!

Yeah it has gone away a couple of times recently.  I don't even own a scoot any more but I'd miss this forum!
Glad you're still around Blue!
You bought an HD, and you ride the PCH, or am I mixing you up with someone else?
In any event - pictures of whatever you're riding ....or mowing with!

LIKE 200i / Re: Chrome trim bars
« on: April 20, 2024, 06:09:47 PM »
Can someone please tell me if I am wasting my time scoring the Internet trying to find Chrome trim bars for my 2020 like 200i SE?
Google is really failing me here!!  Absolutely NOTHING!!
I really want that retro look of the chrome fall bars and front and rear luggage racks but I have come up with the big fat zero searching for months.  Can someone help save my sanity. :-)
Hello,
I too went looking for the chrome crash-bar set made by Kymco as an accessory - back in the week I bought my LIKe200iLX in 2013.
My dealer located the bar for the front fender - but the large side bars of the kit were very hard to find.
I resorted to getting a list of Kymco dealers from the Kymco usa web page....and started phoning dealers looking for the bars.
After many calls I found a dealer in TX, Moxiescooters, I think was the name of the dealer. He had the large part of the kit - and it took some doing to get him to go to the trouble of shipping it to me!
Here is a photo of the day I installed the large bars in my back yard, (April, 2013) still have the paper tag on the scooter!

There was an Italian scooter accessory company that made chrome crash bars for the LIKE200i. I've seen photos of them - and an Italian forum member had a set of them on his scooter.
I believe the Italian accessory compny was "FAR".
I do not like the way these are mounted to the plastic panels on each side. Ther OEM Kymco bars are more solidly mounted and might just serve a practical purpose in an 'off'!

In any event - locating a set will take some work! I wish you the best of luck!

Parts list shows 15gm.
Would be good to ask a dealer. Weights are usually marked on the bag.
And when you do install them please post photos of the process.
We love pictures!
