Jenny, thank for offering to look it up.  But, I do not have a specific problem at this time.  I just want to have the manual on hand for whatever need pops up.  It is for the Kymco Yager GT 200i.  But, I need to know the price first.

I'm hoping someone can help me locate a part. The screw threads to my oil dipstick have become stripped. I suspect the mechanic did it when I took my scooter in for its 7000 mile service check. A few days ago I noticed the
engine light had gone off while I was commuting to work, yet everything felt normal. As I went home later in the evening everything felt fine, except the engine seemed more strained. This continued, so I check the bike yesterday
and noticed oil had leaked out over parts of my back tire. When I went to check the oil levels I saw that the dipstick was not screwed in flat to its base. Oil had been leaking out, and when I checked the levels it was essentially empty.
Worse, because the threads were stripped I could not screw the dipstick back in properly.

I've looked online but can't seem to find any place to order that specific part. Any help would be appreciated.

Here ya go, Dave. It's the the US version, but this will do. You'll have to do convert torque values to your preferred measurement, but that's easy with the internet nowadays.

Enjoy!

Agreed...the dink manual kinda sucks.  Something as basic as changing the spark plug...TOTALLY different.  None of the bolts are in the same spots on the plastics, some are snap fit on the yager and screwed in on the dink.  I definitely don't want to try anything really invasinve without the real manual.

They are expensive and it took them over a week to ship my item. When I called them to ask about it the guy lied to me and told me they shipped it the day before. Like I wasn't going to find out  >:(. Will never do business with them again. This place is much better. As is they are cheaper and you get a 15% discount for mentioning the forum thanks to zombie  ;D

Ok. Keep us updated.
How much dealers ask for that service manual anyway?
Just PDF format.... Nothing printed, right?

Good to know. Thanks!
Actually, while comparing prices I found that this place is always the cheapest for Kymco parts:

Not sure of their shipping though.

Thanks for the extra links, guys. Peter I agree on their service. They sent a part and after it didn't arrive in a week I was told that they ordered it, then didn't realize it was out of stock. Took about 2 weeks to arrive. If the other places are cheaper I'll withdraw my earlier posting.

And they don't answer emails. I sent an email, asking them to help me find parts I needed, since I need to do the 3000 mile service soon. Took them two weeks to respond, claimed their email server crashed (for 2 weeks?!). I sent them an email back, telling them I still needed the parts, but never heard back from them.

So thanks for posting the link to the other site. I'll try it out.

I also have a 2012 Yager (Frost up here) and digital version of the complete service manual. However, it's big and consists of several files that I'm sure are to large to transfer, and I'm just doing a final web check before packing up and heading to the other side of the world. I could probably deal with it when I get back after the first week of February.

Sorry for now.

Have you ever successfully received a PM? For what ever reason (perhaps a profile setting?), this board won't let me address a PM to you.

According to the service manual for the Yager:

Quote
Measure the resistance between each Yellow wire terminals.

Standard: 0.4— 0.6 Q (20°C/68°F)

Check for continuity between each Yellow wire terminal of the alternator side connector and ground.

There should be no continuity.

Can someone tell me if "Q" is equivalent to ohms?
