Title: ATV Insurance
Post by: Dranrab on April 07, 2017, 07:18:28 PM
I just got a quote from Geico for a simple theft policy on my MXU450.  I about fell out of my chair when they quoted me $540 per year.  Do any of you have an insurer that you recommend?

Your insurance rates depend on many things, such as...have you had any prior claims.  Age and driving record.  Where your atv will be stored. Just the area you live in.   I have a Kymco UTV (side x side) valued at 10,000. It is stored in a secured/locked barn, no prior claims, older gent and I carry full coverage for 150 yr from Progressive. I did get a quote from Geico and it was twice the cost of Progressive.

I ended up with a full coverage policy with Markel for $104 per year.  Geico has lost their minds.

I'm not sure what "full coverage" means anymore

what are limits of liability, what are deductibles on collision and comprehensive ?

my UTV is just an additional vehicle on my auto/truck policy, deductible on collision is $100, ACV on comprehensive, it's a business policy, so my limits of liability are $5m

Progressive $99.00/year. I can't remember what Geico wanted but it was outrageous.
